This was one of THE BEST productions I've ever experienced!!! I see why it is sold out in Winnipeg! This is TODAY'S THEATRE TRUE EXCELLENCE! The performers, music, sets with every single effort put in to create such an unforgettable experience. BRAVO!!!! If there were more tickets available -- I'd go again and again! THANK YOU to the cast and crew of Billy Elliot!

    Billy Elliott exceeded my expectations!

by SavingforNewYork on 2013-04-19Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

There were no slow parts in this musical and the talent of the young actors really made it memorable. I loved all the humorous bits and the tunes from the show have continued to run in my head for the last two weeks. Having lost my mother at a young age as well, I was really touched by "The letter" and at the end of the day, that is the part of the production that will probably stay with me.

Billy Elliott was very well done

by kverde on 2013-04-12Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

The live theatre version far outperforms the movie. The music, the lyrics, the dance numbers and the acting are all very memorable. I had some difficulty, in the beginning, understanding the very thick accents. After a while you get used to it.

Drab set, tired old tapdancing though well done. The movie was a better story. Bad choice to have the girl ballet dancers dance badly, why would I want to watch that, I'm sure they are really great in real life. Sometimes it was too loud. A lot of times I couldn't understand what was being said. Outstanding performance by the Dad. Outstanding performance by the character Billy Elliot - though making him spin around way above the other dancer's head looked like child abuse to me. I was waiting to see some original Celtic tap dancing by Billy Elliot as in the movie.

A friend and I went to see Billy Elliott as a birthday treat: the show was absolutely fantastic! We enjoyed the music and the funny wise-cracks. A definite 'would recommend' to all!

    Very talented young man!

by SmileQueen on 2013-04-11Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

I thoroughly enjoyed it. The cast was dynamic! Noah Paret who played Billy Elliot was fabulous as an actor and a dancer, so much talent for someone so young. Have seen the movie but enjoyed the musical on stage much more.

    Billy Elliott is totally engaging!

by 65lions on 2013-04-11Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

Delightful musical production. The boy who played Billy on this evening was just so incredible! So young, and just so polished and professional. My daughter had seen this show on Broadway a few years ago and highly recommended it. I now know why. Was amazed at the entire cast taking on the Northern England accent so convincingly.

    Two moving stories!

by klaw on 2013-04-09Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

We were touched by the messages that the miners would be out of work and nobody would be working in the village upon Billy's return from dance school and that Billy was able to successfully get to that school despite the village's dependence upon the mine. It was truly a moving story and the dancing was spectacular. Not only would I recommend it but I would attend again if able to do so.

    Billy Elliot was FANTASTIC

by Serengeti on 2013-04-09Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

This was possibly the best show I have ever seen. Such energy and talent. At intermission I was chatting with someone who said," I think we got the understudy cast for this sunday matinee" If that was the understudy cast then I cannot imagine what the 1st line cast was like. Billy who was played by a multi, multi talented kid names Noah. The strange thing was that Margaret Thatcher passed away the next day, and if felt strange as she was such a big part of the story. Bravo to all the cast and would recommend this to everyone. Elton John, the music was fantastic.
