Creed is a multi-platinum rock band formed in Tallahassee, Florida in 1994. The band, comprising lead vocalist Scott Stapp, Mark Tremonti (guitar/vocals), Brian Marshall (bass), and Scott Phillips (drums), has sold over 53 million albums worldwide. Their 1999 album Human Clay — which features the hit single "With Arms Wide Open" — is one of the best-selling albums of all time in the U.S. "With Arms Wide Open" topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and won a Grammy Award for Best Rock Song in 2001. I was quite the Creed fan circa the late 90's/early 2000's and then when they dissipated from the music scene, I shoved Human Clay and Weathered in with my other CD's I didn't listen to anymore and allowed them to collect dust. When I saw they were coming to town, I thought I owed it to younger me to see them live and I AM SO GLAD I DID. What an amazing show! Scott sounds amazing live, a little nutty, but I chalk it up to passion. The Human Clay performance turned into a greatest hits parade and I was pleased as pie. The band doesn't change/reinterpret their songs to try and make them "special" (Like some bands) they just played them as is and it was perfection. I was brought back to the early 2000's and remembered why I loved their music so much.
The opening bands were difficult to sit through but once Creed took the stage it was AMAZING! Please don't wait that long to come back to T.O again.
Overall - very positive. Something is happening with Stapps' voice, though...less power and variety. I hope he'll go through the rough patch in his life without losing it. Come on Scott, you've been blessed with a talent - don't waste it! The guitars' sound was amazingly flawless. Mark, Brian - thank you guys!!!!! Balm to my ears)))
I was fortunate enough to have the first row for this concert. I thought the band was amazing! Scott is a dynamic and powerful performer. He sounded great! The entire band was truly energized and I wouldn't bat an eye lash to go and see them again.
It was just amazing. A string performance with an incredible sound quality I went from far eastern Québec to get there and it paid!
I was totally thrilled with Scott and the boys of Creed. Their lyrics were amazingly audible, in such a small venue. They looked as though, they enjoyed it as much as the fans. I would recommend, anyone who enjoys their music, to give them a try. I can't wait to see them again. Excellent!
First let me say that I am a huge CREED fan. I had seen them live a couple of times and enjoyed both concerts. 1 at ACC and the other at Molson Amphitheatre. Both shows were really good but this show at Danforth Music Hall was UNREAL!! The band sounded awesome and Scotts voice was really strong. They totally blew me away! Being that close to the band in an intimate setting like that was beyond unreal. Best money I ever spent!! AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME. \m/ \m/
The opening acts were awesome! Very energetic and engaging despite the auditorium being deserted. Like a Storm gave out free stuff at the end of their set. They also hung around after the show to sign autographs and take pics with fans. Creed themselves were stellar. The performance however only gets 4 stars because during all the heavy songs you could barely hear Stapp's voice over the guitars and bass. They need to either perform in a better location or hire better sound techs. Overall very enjoyable, Scott Stapp is an awesome singer!
it sucked in orpheum theater what a boring place for a show
