About

LES DUDEK IN CONCERT:

Legendary guitarist Les Dudek boasts a resume that includes stints with Boz Scaggs and the Steve Miller Band as tours with Stevie Nicks and Steppenwolf. But lately it's this seasoned performer's solo shows bringing fans out in droves. Dudek is certainly no stranger to showmanship, and his shredding guitar solos assume epic proportions even in intimate settings. Whether he's tearing through his '70s hits "City Magic" and "Old Judge Jones" or treating fans to covers like "Born to Be Wild", Dudek will bring plenty of energy and flair to the stage on his latest tour.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Rhode Island-born, Florida-raised Les Dudek took up the guitar at age 10 after becoming inspired by the music of the Beatles. Playing in several local Florida bands during his teens he developed a reputation that attracted the attention of the Allman Brothers Band, who tapped him for the recording of their 1973 album Brothers and Sisters. Stints on the road and in the studio with Boz Scaggs and the Steve Miller Band would follow, setting the stage for his 1976 self-titled solo debut. Songs like "City Magic" and "Old Judge Jones" received considerable airplay in his new home of Los Angeles, earning him a cult following and paving the way for albums like Say No More (1977) and Ghost Town Parade (1978). In 2001 Dudek released Deeper Shades of Blue -- his first album of new material in 20 years -- reflecting a renewed period of creativity that continues on his latest tour.
