  • Luminato's Hamlet

by Fronds on 2025-06-18Harbourfront Centre Theatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This production of HAMLET gave new meaning to the classic play's themes in an explosion of creativity. The result was both thought provoking and inspiring.

  • Didn't want it to end!

by LM on 2025-06-17Harbourfront Centre Concert Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

A Glimpse of Quincy with Larnell Lewis was absolutely fantastic!! So much so that I didn't want it to end. The venue was great, and the music superb. The only downside was the lines and how disorganized the ticket situation was. Zero signage indicating where to go for Will Call. There was no way to get electronic tickets (which is strange), so the entire audience had to line up to get their tickets. After retrieving the tickets, we then all had to line up to enter the venue. This meant we missed most of the DJ's set unfortunately.

  • Quincy at the Harbourfront

by Dex on 2025-06-17Harbourfront Centre Concert Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Very unique concert celebrating the life’s work and influences of Quincy Jones focussed on the 1980’s. Amazing line up of Canadian artists and venue. Will always be a fan of his work.

  • Great show!

by Jazzding on 2025-06-16Harbourfront Centre Concert Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

This was a great show. The musicians are fabulous and of course the music of Quincy Jones, superb as always. The variety of the presentation was very cool adding the reggae singer, steel pan player and the children's chorus made it very interesting with some very inventive arrant. I didn't realize that it was an outdoor concert. It would have been helpful if that had been specified somewhere in the advertising. Especially if not all people would have been familiar with the venue. Maybe I missed it, otherwise I would have dressed differently. It was cold and I was chilled for the whole evening but regardless, would not have missed it. The only negative I found was there were too many staff photographers taking pictures and videos. I understand that they have a job to do but there was no consideration for blocking the view of the patrons. Sometimes there were two people standing together along with security personnel. I was sitting in the front row and quite often my view was blocked. Somewhat frustrating. I understand the need to record the show but it was too much especially when you have an elevated stage but single level floor seating. Also, there was a group of hearing impaired concert goers with translators. Fabulous idea however, they were very animated and as they too were on the stage, that blocked the view from where I was sitting for several patrons. But please, keep up the good work providing great music with local talent. After all, it's about the performance and the music.

  • Excellent music but…

by 1/2 on 2025-06-16Harbourfront Centre Concert Stage - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Fabulous talented musicians. Would have loved to hear the children sing independently. They were drowned out. 40 minutes late. MC weak - pity he had to read everything; he just wasn’t classy like the musicians. Irritating to be honest. But musicians outstanding

  • Outstanding Evening!

by Suzie Q on 2025-06-16Harbourfront Centre Concert Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

A Glimpse of Quincy was just an amazing show with singers that transformed the music of Quincy Jones into their own style. I think Quincy himself would have been proud. By the end of the night, the whole audience was standing and dancing, singing and a part of the entire performance. The only negative was that the tickets sold by Luminato all had to be collected at Will Call. When we arrived close to show time, there must have been 200 people in the line-up. But Luminato saw they had a problem and waved everyone through with just their confirmation, not the actual tickets.

  • Tribute to Quincy!

by Boss on 2025-06-16Harbourfront Centre Concert Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The tribute to Quincy was an excellent show. Great curation of the range Quincy’s music/legacy. Excellent Canadian musicians! High energy concert!

  • It did not materialize

by Tamara on 2024-06-19Bluma Appel Theatre - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

The work of the illusionist / "theatre maker"Sobelle was outstanding, and it seemed to have a lot of potential to be the canvas for intriguing various “stories” of life. The stories could have projected the main intended theme House-Home-house crisis. It did not materialize; I left the play “intellectually empty”. The Birthday celebration looked somewhat as a farce…although the audience definitely enjoyed it.

  • Amazing show!!

“Home” was delivering powerful messages regarding a true meaning of family through the specific space as home our life circle.

  • Entrances and exits

by Sheldon on 2024-06-16Bluma Appel Theatre - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5

I found the show quite superficial and tedious. A series of insignificant entrances and exits that never took the idea past its beginning point. The magic trick at the beginning was delightful and entertaining, but after the fifth time it had lost its lustre. The show was as much about stage craft as it was content. And then turning it into a circus and kid's show was as much about running out of insight as it was about genuine invention.
