Took my granddaughter to see the Mini Pips for the 1st time and it was SPECTACULAR!!! We had SO…much fun. We had floor seats so we had a great view, the sound was great, beautiful theater, great prices for concessions and the popcorn was the BEST! (Better than movie popcorn) We sang & danced and got yo get pics with the Mini Pops! It was my granddaughter’s first concert and it truly was a memorable one! If I had one complaint it would be regarding the event staff, the security staff were horrible. A lady asked for directions and the the guy seemed frustrated that he had to get off his chair and speak to her. When leaving my granddaughter realized she dropped a mitten so we walked back in the room to go get it, it was laying on the floor about 5’ from the door and the security guard yelled across the room yelling “if you don’t have a VIP bracelet you didn’t belong here, there’s the door while pointing at the exit” another staff member apologized for his rudeness and informed him we were simply picking up a mitten that was left behind and had spoken to her before going back in to get it. It was pretty embarrassing! He had the most furious look on his face, he actually turned red and yelled as if we were evading arrest or something! My granddaughter was pretty scared and thought she was in trouble. The same guy also yelled at a mother & son who accidentally sat in the right seats wrong row. They actually sat a row behind instead so it was t like they were trying to sneak better seats or anything like that, it was an obvious mistake and he acted as if he caught them sneaking backstage.
I completely understand they’re jobs can be stressful at times but there was NO reason for his behavior. Especially given the fact that this was a family event and not a Marilyn Manson concert & ppl were still exiting the theater when we went back for the mitten. It’s not like we went back an hour later and interrupted another show or anything like that. It was a bummer of a way to end a really fun afternoon.
Other than that, everything was fabulous!
