Raine Maida Tickets

I saw Chantal a few years ago solo in Huntsville and liked her style and music. I am an amatuer musician and play a coupe of her songs. She was music focused and kibitzed appropriately with the audience. It was a nice intimate. I was wondering what playing with Raine would be like. Their son cam out first and he was good for an 18 year old but unexpected. Decent original music and a good cover of Maroon5 Sunday Morning. There was then a 40 minute break until Chantal and Raine came on. They are both very good musicians but their styles are totally different and doing one every other song meant they never got any momentum. There was also an inordinate about of chatter from Chantal with little or frustrated response from Raine. No stage chemistry. Even worse Chantal would actually joke with the audience in the middle of her songs interfering with the songs integrity. It was bizarre. We only heard one song we knew and decided to leave early. I have never done that before. I will say some of the audience seemed engaged and enjoyed the show so maybe its just us. It was not what we expected and not the level of professionalism expected for tow talented and experienced artists. Disappointing.

The venue was perfect, I’d never been there before. Staff were helpful and the music was mind blowing. They have such great chemistry on stage and their son Rowan as an opening act was phenomenal.

The beginning of the show with their Son was very sweet His songs and the piano playing was phenomenal Chantal and her beautiful voice and the way she plays extraordinary and Raine and his voice very special but the two together was heavenly

I loved it being at the studio. It felt very intimate. Not a crazy amount of people. Wish I could have won a meet and greet but other than that it was amazing. They are great performers and you can just feel the love they have for each other!
