I could tell that majority of the people that were in attendance really loved him and his music, there was even a sporadic happy birthday song sang to him by the entire audience. I love seeing Ron live and this one knocks it out of the park with his band and guests, especially at such a special venue.
Ron Sexsmith has a lot of fans! He filled Massey Hall, not just with these fans, but with endearing and beautiful music. He, along with his fans created an atmosphere of fun, love and joy. Is it possible for nearly 3000 people to bond? Ron is such a humble and gracious talent. His band was just as humble and talented. Bravo! Seeing him at Massey Hall again would be a joy!
Ron delivered an amazing show! So well rounded with additional artists! His voice is a treasure and his humour exuded a sense of familiarity which made it feel as though you were in a room full of friends. Very intimate. The sound in Massey is like no other venue. We were so engaged, would love to see him again and again. We share his hometown of Merritton (St. Catharines). A beautiful human being.
It was great to finally see Ron Sexsmith live and Massey Hall was the perfect venue. I have been a fan for quite a while and loved his Tv special around his his album with Bob Rock. The music selection was great and his band were very well suited to his music. I loved the variety he put together with guest singers and acoustic moments. The most surprising thing was his charming personality and humor. I would love to see him again and would recommend it to any music lover who enjoys folk, pop or adult contemporary genres of music.
Ron Sexsmith is an amazing singer/songwriter; his narrative was warm, honest, funny and heartfelt. The continuous playlist was incredible and it was a great concert!! Applause and ovations for Ron Sexsmith and the band were truly appreciative and spontaneous. It deserves a 5 star rating. The venue is back in all its shining glory. The tickets were attainable and seating offered a pretty decent view. The only drawback was a personal health issue and excellent lesson….I am scent sensitive. I forgot to bring my puffer and, also, a mask(!?!). Lesson learned. It detracted from me having a completely enjoyable experience. No reflection on the artist nor presentation.
Ron Sexsmith touched our souls, as no one can, with his dreamy voice and romantic lyrics. His band soothed and grooved the night away in majestic Massey Hall. Thank you Mr Sexsmith for inviting us to your 60th. It was heavenly!
Ron never disappoints. Massey Hall was the perfect venue to celebrate Sexsmith at Sixty. He truly is a national treasure.
A lovely evening, great songs from a great songwriter. It was my first time seeing Ron Sexsmith, I hope it won’t be my last.
Great music. Great audience interaction. Great seats. Great venue. Just wished he had played more from the Long Player Late Bloomer album. Not a complaint, more of an “oh well”.
