Saskatchewan Roughriders at Mosaic Stadium
The Saskatchewan Roughriders may be one of the oldest sports franchises in North America, but the Canadian Football League team can lay claim to the newest, most state-of-the-art field in the nation. Regina's Mosaic Stadium has been the Roughriders' home since 2017. It's a multipurpose, 33,000-person-capacity venue that, on game days, transforms into a sea of green. But its unique design features -- like its sunken-bowl seating and tiled panels that partially cover three sides of the field -- make it feel cozy and intimate even in the most unforgiving Prairie weather. Boasting the largest scoreboard of any CFL venue, plus larger-than-average 20-inch-wide seats and luxury lounges, Mosaic Stadium offers the CFL's smallest market a true big-city sporting experience. If you prefer more of an old-school gridiron vibe, get yourself a cheap ticket in Pil Country -- aka the stadium's standing-room-only section in the south end zone, where the 19-plus age restriction gives you a pretty good indication of the atmosphere you can expect.
Saskatchewan Roughriders History
The roots of the Saskatchewan Roughriders predate that of the Canadian Football League itself. Originally founded in 1910 as the Regina Rugby Club, the team would rename itself the Regina Roughriders before settling on the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 1946 (and introducing those signature green-and-white uniforms shortly thereafter). After joining the nascent CFL in 1958, the Roughriders enjoyed an extended honeymoon period where they made the playoffs every year from 1962 to 1976, including their first Grey Cup win in 1966. Their next championship victory would come in 1989 with quarterback Kent Austin -- who, 18 years later, was hired as the Roughriders' head coach and led them to their third Grey Cup win during his first and only season on the job. But the team's 2013 Grey Cup victory -- powered by a record-breaking rushing performance by running back Kory Sheets -- was arguably the sweetest, as it was the first to happen on the Roughriders' home turf. After an 80-year run at the historic Taylor Field, the Roughriders moved to the much more modern Mosaic Stadium in 2017.

I always enjoy coming to a home game of the Roughriders, it was just an extra bonus for it being legends night.
If you’re going to a Riders game better make sure you’re a Riders Fan… Sea of green! I went to see the new rookie QB for the lions and he was awesome. Great experience.
Just wanted to check out the new stadium. As I'm getting older I find it harder to tolerate loud drunks in the stands and unfortunately I had 2 of them seated behind me. But its a football game, what are you going to do.
To start off i wasnt there for the Riders lol. I was there to watch the BC LIONS. But the wife & kids enjoyed all the pregame festivities. We all had a good time. I enjoyed the heckling but it all slowly came to an end when BC took the lead and shut the crowd up lol. I met a few Rider fans that would have fun with me being in a Lions jersey, others not so much but i could just laugh at them, adults acting like kids. Stay classy and humble Rider fans. 👍
Entry was fantastic! Super slick. We were in the north end zone which is my favourite side to sit. The game was fantastic (yup, I’m a lions fan)! The only suggestion would be is to have more water bottle filling stations.
The riders played a great first half except for the last couple of minutes. The second half we were a different team, no pressure on BC’s QB and no protection for our QB.
Been going to rider games since I was a kid, absolute die hard fan since day 1 and I haven’t gone to a game since 2019 and being able to watch the boys win is always blast, especially at home, definitely gonna be going again soon!
I have been a Rider fan for 60 years, was my birthday and the kids got us all together for the game. Everyone had a great time!
We are rider fans! Mosaic stadium is a great place to enjoy a game. I am all for safety and security but I really think the CFL needs to take a look at the size of a purse that can be brought in. You can bring whatever size clear plastic bag stuffed with whatever and security will look through it but a small purse 6”x8” because it isn’t clear has to be checked in at a different facility way across the parking lot? 🤔
First time at the new stadium and its was amazing. Ill definitely be back.
Great fans, great game. Cameras allowed in the stadium, so was able to get som great action shots.
Everything was terrific! My girl danced with the cheerleaders, my boy got pics with gainer, the game was a win! BUT..... $9/ BEER? AND SO HOT 🌼on the east side. Didnt see much of the 1st halfeven with sunglasses on.
fun in park, great crowd ,and entertaining game Fred
Rider games are always so much fun and this one did not disappoint. Had a blast
Saskatchewan Roughrider games are unlike anything else. The energy this fan base has is a truly remarkable sight, and even if you aren’t a football fan this is an experience you will want to have. Playing out of the new stunning Mosaic stadium, there is everything to look forward to on game day. I eagerly await the next game with excitement, and highly recommend that if you get the chance to attend one yourself, you should take the opportunity to do so! Go Riders!
It was absolutely awesome. it was super easy to get tickets super easy to get in the stadium. And the Riders won in a very close game 33 to 30 Double overtime absolutely the best experience
Staff at venue are attentive and service is fast. I did not stand in a washroom line at all (amazing for a large event) and ticket process and vaccine pre-screen was simple.
We enjoyed the game, the stadium, the food and the Riders store! We will go again for sure!
What a great venue, great atmosphere. I recommend every football fan in Canada go to a game at mosaic.
