Canadian pop wunderkind Shawn Hook made his US debut in the late '00s on the soundtracks of popular TV shows like Kyle XY and The Hills, but it wasn't until 2015 that he scored his first stateside chart hit with "Sound of Your Heart." Since then Hook has been busy - he signed with US label Hollywood Records later that year, and in 2016 he generated major buzz with the racy video for his single "Relapse." In concert Hook is the real deal, melting hearts with his sultry croon and showing off his conservatory background on the piano while his backing band dials in impressive performances on bass, drums, and guitar. With his killer voice, spiffy style, and knack for heart-rending balladry, Shawn Hook is a serious pop force to be reckoned with, and he wins over legions of new fans every time he performs. 

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

British Columbia-born Shawn Hook, aka Shawn Hlookof, got an early start in music. He entered the royal conservatory at age four, and by high school he was playing piano in a jazz big band and writing and recording his own music. He made his debut in 2006 with the self-released album Both Sides, and in 2008 he signed with ABC Studios, a music division of ABC TV that placed his songs on popular ABC shows like Eli Stone and Greek. He returned as Shawn Hook in 2008 with his EMI-released sophomore album Cosmonaut and the Girl, an acclaimed release that landed two singles on the Canadian Hot 100. American chart success wasn't far behind - in 2016 Hook scored his first US Top 40 hit with "Sound of Your Heart," the debut single from his third album Analog Love. A stellar musician known for his impressive live shows, Hook showed off his performance chops later that year on Jimmy Kimmel Live with a rousing rendition of "Relapse" that left fans dying to catch him on tour.
