    Enjoyable

    by Chris70 on 2013-10-28Stanley Park - Vancouver

Went this evening and it was pretty cool. Not sure what the other reviewers found so disappointing. First, go in the evening. Pointless to take part in a Halloween event while the sun is shining. It you do, don't blame the production for your lack of common sense. This event is geared towards children. No one getting hacked up with chainsaws or tortured while staked to a tree. It's all classical monsters, some well done. Phantom of the opera creeped me out when he approached the train. The big Frankenstein was creative and the kids loved it. Over all, I applaud the entire production staff for a an enjoyable event. Don't listen to the whiners who probably grew up on slasher movies and expect the same level of violence on the little train ride.

    Crap...crap...crap!

by VeryBored789 on 2013-10-25Stanley Park Halloween Ghost Train - Vancouver / Stanley Park

Words can not describe the lack of fright, lack of talent and lack of interest this excuse for a Halloween event which left for a wicked taste in my mouth. Not only that, my 3 yr old and 5 yr old said, "can we go...this is boring" (during the train ride). We took the 5pm train, so yes it was still light, however that is no excuse for the lack of staff (not 1 single living person showed their face during the entire ride) and the exhibits were equally dead (not 1 prop moved or even freakin' twitched. 1 star for good music on the train that was well timed for the crappy $0.25, papier-mâché, grade 2 exhibits. Most of this stuff can be bought at the dollar store...so save your loonies for something the least bit entertaining.

HORRIBLE!! Such a waste of my time and money. If there was an option to minus stars, I would. ALICE AND WONDERLAND IS NOT HALLOWEEN!!!! So brutal, so lame, so pathetic, probably won't even go again because of this year. Wouldn't even reccomend it to my dog.
