About

Who explores a coral reef, plays in an octopus’s garden, and joins the jellyfish ballet – all before snack time?  The Backyardigans! Pablo, Tyrone, Tasha, Uniqua and Austin are back on stage, singing and dancing and ready to plunge sea deep into adventure. Dive into the action as these five friends explore clues, discover underwater magic, and match wits with an all-too-tidy octopus and a pair of playful (but messy!) dolphins. With a splashy range of song-and-dance styles to wade along to – including psychedelic soul, Bollywood, bossa nova, and more – our heroes save the day.

    The Back yawnigans

by hmaid on 2014-04-30Hamilton Place Theatre - Hamilton

Same old story, nothing really new and more kids had a meltdown during the performance then any other children's production I have ever been to. The items you sold were cheap quality and over priced.

Great fun for my 4 year old dancing machine!!

Lots to see and favourite songs to sing and dance to. Intermission was a little long for this age group. The younger kids started to fall apart waiting.

Backyardigans, fun but could have been better.

They played too many new songs and too few of the songs that the kids knew from the shows. People like to sing and hear the songs they know. 75-80% classics and 20-25% new stuff. Next time more classics please!

Show was just ok. Thought it would be a bit more upbeat & interactive I was disappointed but the kids aged 4-5 enjoyed the intro & ending

    BEST SHOW EVER

by AngieN on 2014-04-22Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

The Backyardigans never disappoint. The show was entertaining, and engaging. My kids LOVED it. Didn't blink an eye during the entire show and were upset when it was time for intermission, and even more upset when it was over. Have to admit, I was totally into it myself, as was DH. Great entertainers, great effects, great costumes. Worth every penny. Second Backyardigans show we've been to and we can't wait for the next!!! . thanks!

    Backyardigans

by JPmangin on 2014-04-22Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

Fortunately all the kids were quiet in the first half. The content of the show was good but the sound was awful. We were only 14 rows stage left and the voices were so airy and quiet. A character had a mic failure and continued with a handheld. Performances were very well done. Second half you couldnt really hear because of restless kids.

Me & the kids @ Backyardigans

by geema on 2014-03-05Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

I thought the show was well done, although I had a hard time staying engaged. My three year old was quite bored. However, my 5 year thought it was great and my 8 year old was quite impressed too. There should be more crowd involvement, dancing, characters mixing in the audience etc. to help keep the little ones interested.

    Not really kid friendly

by Mamabearunhappy on 2014-03-05Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

There were 3 things that really stood out to me. 1. Only had cookies and licorice for sale, glad I brought snacks for my kid! There was 2 times I saw puke on the ground. Gross. 2. Not enough booster seats for a kid show?! Like come on, when you are paying forty bucks a person and your kid can't see? Not cool not cool. 3. Too long intermission. The crowd of Backyardigans is young and they structured the show like it was for older kids and parents. By the time we sat back down and the show started again my kid was over it and wanted to leave. Lame. First and last kid show for sure! What an epic waste of 120 bucks.
