Adekunle Gold on Tour

Nigerian singer/songwriter and award-winning international sensation Adekunle Gold is taking his talents on the road for his tour, dubbed Catch Me If You Can The Tour. Gold blew up in 2015 in his native country when his debut solo single "Sade," a highlife cover of One Direction's "Story of my Life," went viral and also won the award for Best Alternative Song at Nigeria's Headies. He flipped that into a contract with Olamide's YBNL Nation label and released two more singles -- "Orente" and "Pick Up" on the eve of releasing his debut album Gold, which peaked as high as seventh on Billboard's World Album Chart. In 2022, Gold released the tour-headlining album Catch Me If You Can, which includes the singles "High" featuring Davido and "Sinner" featuring Lucky Daye. Adekunle Gold in Concert

Born Prince Omoba Adekunle Kosoko to the royal family of Lagos, State, Nigeria, Adekunle Gold is also the nephew of "Nollywood" actor Prince Jide Kosoko. Gold began his musical career at an early age, even joining the local church's junior choir before he was a teen. After attending Lagos State Polytechnic and studying graphic arts, painting and sculpture, Gold began his solo career. He teamed with renowned singer and songwriter SIMI for his debut single "Sade," which garnered him national attention. While he was already on the radar of the YBNL Nation label from having designed their official logo, with the radio success of "Sade," it became clear that he'd be a star artist for the group. The singles "High" and "Sinner" from his 2022 album Catch Me If You Can, which also includes guest artists Ty Dolla $ign and Davido, have already raked up millions of streams on Spotify, helping to solidify Gold as an international pop sensation.

    Golden button Adekunle Gold Concert

    Starting with line management outside the venue, you know this concert was busy. Venue was well staffed with friendly, cheerful employees who quickly scanned or helped us locate to scsn our tickets and get us inside in a timely manner. Once inside, I was first impressed by the bathrooms in both quantity of stalls and cleanliness of redtroom. Once in the main stage area, you could see a bar on eother side of the stage and at the back of the dance floor. There was plenty of seating organized in groups of 2 to 8 available. Thw security during the show was respectful, mature, and orderly. Everyone who paid to come to the concert truly came to enjoy the talent of Adekunle Gold and his openers. One of the openers or hosts was Ositadavid. His energybis electric! I was expecting a great concert but not this well done! It was longer in durarion than I expected and I was extremely pleased it was and happily stayed until the very end! I highly recommend the venue of the Commidore Ballroom and Adekunle is a must see along with AG Baby.

    This is a great venue. Plenty of seating and standing space. Washroom were clean and plentiful. DRINK PRICES WERE READONABLE!

    I’ve been to 5 concerts this year and this is by far the best; worth every penny. Kind of lost my voice while screaming and singing to the songs but I’d do that again in a heartbeat. Wouldn’t mind the concert being longer though; he should be payed for more time on stage.

    Great show, not the sound

    Loved the show. Sound was muddy and not as clear as usual for the Commodore which was really unfortunate for an Afrobeat show.

    A really enjoyable concert with good music and dancing. The event started & ended on time. Vocals and sound from him & the live band was good. We had a blast listening to his new songs and classic throwbacks.
