About

AJR is a New York City pop trio composed of brothers Adam, Jack and Ryan Met. Initially performing covers as street buskers in 2005, AJR named themselves by combining their three first-initials and released their self-titled EP of original material in 2012. Ahead of the group’s 2015 debut album Living Room, AJR notched their first Billboard Hot 100 single with 2013’s “I’m Ready.” The band’s 2017 follow-up The Click broke onto the Billboard 200 behind the quadruple-platinum lead single “Weak” and Rivers Cuomo collaboration “Sober Up.” AJR hit a career milestone with 2019’s Neotheater, which debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200. In 2021, OK Orchestra earned AJR’s second Top 10 debut and housed their highest-charting single “Bang!” which peaked at No. 8 on the Hot 100 and later netted four RIAA platinum certifications. AJR’s fifth album The Maybe Man arrived in 2023. Over their career, AJR have embarked on six headlining tours and worked with artists such as Weezer, Ingrid Michaelson and Steve Aoki.

  • Innovative Fun

    by JoeJam35 on 2025-08-16Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This upbeat, energetic foursome (for the live performance) brought a lot of fun and surprises to their live show, integrating video and stage show elements that added to their music. The new "A"in AJR (at least for live tours) was a true beast on the horns. The band themselves said it, but the Budweiser Stage setting and crew delivered on the love for amphitheatre shows and what it brings to a musical performance. AJR used the screens, crowd and theatre and other elements to full effect, enhancing their catchy sing along songs. The crowd was on their feet from the opening right to the end. A truly great show in a wonderful setting.

  • (A)JR putting up a bang(er) of a show

by Victor Tugelbend on 2025-08-15Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

My son and I had been bonding over AJR's music over this year and then they happen to play in Toronto. So we went, and we were blown away by the amazing energy and the involvement with the audience. Just before the band went on, the music played A-ha with Take on me, John Denver with Country Roads and Queen with Bohemian Rhapsody and cut the music to get the audience into the mood, hearing 9000 voices singing all of the Rhapsody in unison gave me goosebumps. And then AJR came on and replicated the energy and got the same response, 9000 voices singing their lyrics. The light show was amazing, the intro was fun and every time I saw my 12 year old son singing his lungs out I had tears of joy in my eyes. Thank you so much for the experience. Special shout-out to Alexander Stewart who provided 30 minutes of raw emotion with his amazing songs. Cavetown was also enjoyable and brought amazing energy to the stage. And there were quite a few people in the stands who knew all of their lyrics. Awesome!

  • Super under-rated band and live performance

by Gunit on 2025-08-15Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

We found AJR to be super engaging and amazing performers. Our sons love the band, and this was their first 'real' concert. They were blown away, and the performance was top-notch. I hope they come back to Canada again soon (please don't wait 7 years!!!)--we will be first in line for tickets.

Seeing Ajr was absolutely incredible, a dream come true! They bring such amazing energy to the stage and make you feel empowered with their experiences and lyrics. It was easy and quick to get into the stadium and find our seats. Overall, a really amazing time!

  • A top 5 concert

by Fay on 2025-08-15Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The 7 year wait for ajr to come back to Canada was worth it ( but please dont wait another 7 years to com back). They put on a very interactie and visually engaging show, one that i will remember for a life time. My only regret is that i didnt buy closer seats.

  • What a show

by Kerron on 2025-08-13Rating: 5 out of 5

First time seeing AJR in concert last night, and I’m already waiting for them to come back to Toronto. Loved the setlist, loved the special effects, and the stage presence. It was great to see them having so much fun on stage. And the supporting band players were phenomenal! One of the most fun concerts I’ve been to.
