    Not Impressed

by Van2023 on 2023-05-03Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

The 1.5 hours that Ali Zafar was performing were spectacular. But the other 2 hours that we were made to wait and forced to watch BS fake performances and sponsor introductions was not fair. It was a Sunday evening. People have work the next day. The show ended at 11pm instead of 9pm. I’ve never seen such a poorly organized concert. I bought tickets for myself and my friend (for her bday) and it was very embarrassing in the end because of how it went. I had really high hopes.

    Disappointing!

by Matty on 2023-05-02Paramount Fine Foods Centre - Mississauga

The artists did what they do, but the organization of the whole event was abysmal. Given that this was a music concert, the least that one expects is a decent sound system. It was an insult to the audience as well as the artists. You could tell that by their disappointment at the audience’s lukewarm response to their performances. Do better!

    Only one hour

by Mjay on 2023-05-02Paramount Fine Foods Centre - Mississauga

I would like to start by saying that Ali Zafar has great stage presence and a terrific voice. I just wish we could have heard more from him. He sang from 9:45-10:45pm for the 7pm show. No one was on stage at even 8:30pm. There was a lot of waiting with no entertainment and when Ali Zafar did come on stage for the main performance he had to cut his songs short so that they were samples rather than full songs. We also could not hear some top songs like Chan Ve and Item Number. Having also heard Rahat Fateh Ali Khan at this venue in 2015 (who preformed from 8:30pm to midnight), I expected a much longer show. I don't know if it is due to organizational errors (it appears to be, as Iqra Aziz came on stage only once and tried to stall the show, asking what she should do next; there was also no intermission), but I sincerely hope the organizers prepare better for the future to avoid disappointing fans. Food options are also limited and mediocre.

    Rockstar

by Iqra on 2023-05-02Paramount Fine Foods Centre - Mississauga

Ali was a rockstar what a great performer. The event was poorly managed and organized and a lot of time was wasted which resulted in less stage time for Ali. Hope he hires new people to arrange his show! Would love to see him again.

Good Performance but horrible overall experience

by Imran on 2023-05-02Paramount Fine Foods Centre - Mississauga

It was a very good performance but I don’t know what’s the deal with the organisers of Pakistani bands and singers. Why do they always insist on parading and thanking their sponsors again and again and again. Nobody pays for the ticket to see the sponsors. I’ve never seen this sponsor parade in any other show, be it an Indian, British or American band/singer. Secondly, regarding the presenter on stage. He was a middle aged man with horrible/comical pronunciations. He completely butchered the name of a singer who just released a popular song, and repeated the same mistake, whole time he was on Stage.

    Great Performances, Poorly Organized

by PS on 2023-05-02Paramount Fine Foods Centre - Mississauga

Let me start by saying that the performances and performers were really great. Truly enjoyed each and every artist! But the management was extremely poor. The show started 90 mins after the listed time and then so much more time was wasted in calling the sponsors on the stage one by one. The EMCs did a really poor job in engaging the audience to an extend they miss pronounced the names of the artists! Not one but many times. Clearly showed that there was no planning and no preparation done. In terms of food and drinks options, even cineplex has better options. The only saviour was the artist lineup.
