About

Amon Amarth have been marching purposefully from triumph to greater triumph for the last two decades. Formed amid the fertile Swedish metal scene in the mid 90's, these dedicated diehards brought a new sense of drama and destruction to the world of heavy music, propagating tales of Viking mythology and mortal combat over a devastating soundtrack of crushing rhythms, refined melody and rousing, rebellious refrains. From the release of their debut album Once Sent From The Golden Hall in 1998, to their latest masterpiece Jomsviking, Amon Amarth’s trajectory has been firmly upward, as this band’s devotion to touring the world and spreading their inspirational creed resonates with the ever-growing hordes of like-minded metalheads.

 

Swedish war machine Sabaton are on their way to worldwide heavy metal domination. These platinum selling, Falun-based heavy metal heroes are heading to Australia. No mercy will be given and all guns will be blazing, as this tireless killing machine prepares to blow fans to another dimension, playing songs off their entire catalogue as well as their latest opus The Last Stand.

    Excellent show, 4 excellent bands Première fois pour moi au centre Vidéotron et possiblement la dernière... Impossible de sortir à l'extérieur entre les shows et ça c'est réellement aberrant, manque d'organisation et malgré que les consommations sont servis dans des canettes, ont doit transféré dans des verres... C'est pas la meilleure idée dans un show métal... Mais les son était très bon!

    C'était ma première fois au Centre Vidéotron et j'ai bien aimé cet endroit pour la grosseur de la foule. Spectacle en format hémicycle (plus petit que les formats de spectacle standard). L'accès rapide au kiosque de bière et aux toilettes était aussi un avantage comparé à d'autres endroits du genre. Cannibal Corpse en première partie était un gros plus pour moi. Le spectacle de Amon Amarth était excellent en tout point. Le groupe semblait en forme et content d'être à Québec. Le choix des chansons était aussi très bien. Seul bémol, j'aurais aimé que ce soit un peu plus long cependant comme spectacle. Très belle soirée!!! Rock on!!!

    Amon Amarth always knows how to bring the thunder! Their blend of melodic death metal with Viking themes creates such an intense atmosphere. And Quebec City must have been an incredible backdrop for their performance. Raise Your Horns!!!

    I enjoyed Frozen Soul, loved Obituary, can now say I've seen Cannibal Corpse perform, and thoroughly enjoyed Amon Amarth. They were the definite highlight of the evening, and I would gladly pay to see them again. Excellent showmen, production, and music.

    All the bands were fantastic and Amon Amarth spoiling us with 15 songs! Just blown away with their live performance. Come back to Calgary because I will continue to see them every time they do! Only downside was if you were under 5ft6 have fun seeing anything unless you got to the front, short girl problems!
