  • You need to hear this man perform

If only it he played a club instead of a theatre. The only criticism I have is at times there were dead pauses in the show...but I think the venue subtracted from the experience and the overall interaction Amos Lee and the band could have with the audience. That being said, I would go and see him play whether he was on a street corner or in a stadium. Musically...Amos Lee (the players and backing vox that travel with him too) ...was/were amazing! Such a gifted voice, interesting re-arrangements of older songs, and big & fresh sound. I also appreciated the diversity of the crowd that he attracts - from 18 year-old hipsters to my mom and dad. Pretty amazing. (The crowd, unfortunately, was typical Toronto for the most part, glued to their seats. The one exception was the fabulous man who danced in the aisles during the encore. This has little to do with Amos Lee though.)

  • Amos, you make my heart sing!

    - LOVED the concert - 4 stars because there was too much background noise for the first half of the concert - AMOS: I love your raw, acoustic stuff - Loose the backup singers and all the other instruments - his cover of Fat Bottomed Girls is out of this world!!!

  • Amos Lee....wanted to take him home with me.

Better than I expected. Loved it so much I went out and bought the 2 cds of his that I didn't have. I brought a friend who had never heard of him and now is a fan.

  • Love the Amos!

LOVED Amos' voice and band - just wish he kept the same 'groove' in some of his older tunes.

  • Too bad it was only 1/2 of a show

His voice is mezmorizing when he wants to. The first half was one of the best concerts I've ever seen. Then he forgot the words to a song, pouted, and mailed the rest of the concert in. Too Bad.

I really can't say enough about Amos Lee's performance! Discovered him a few years ago and this was my second time hearing him live. Great venue, intimate, awesome vibe! Amos Lee is great for the mind and soul :-) I'm so grateful to have such humble artists grace our stages!

  • Amos = Awesome

Amos put on a fantastic show. He was in great form, and the rest of the band was just as tight. Calexico was a perfect pairing on this bill. Kudos to the venue as well. It was our first time there and everythng was really well organized and the atmosphere was light and friendly. We are definitely planning on going back. We Travelled from Vancouver BC for this show. It was well worth the trip. Thanks guys.
