Amy was great but time change was not cool

    Great show!!!

    by Chris0112 on 2022-09-26Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

The venue should have been much much nicer. She deserved that. I know that many people were told that she started at 9:30 because of an email that you sent. That is AWFUL. They basically missed her entire set. She was AMAZING!

    Awesome

by Amanda on 2022-09-26Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

She definitely knows what she’s doing and she’s good at it. She’s definitely my favourite. Obviously I recommend her and will definitely see her again. I would definitely buy her merch if she brought some.

    Disorganized

by Em on 2022-09-26Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

One the way to the concert, luckily I checked my email last minute because the show was moved from 930, to 730. I’m assuming this was because of the cancelled train service. When arriving at the venue there was a line wrapped around the building which luckily moved fast. My disappoint was that Amy’s set was so short. We had no concept of time because of the phone pouches. Just as we’re getting really into the show it was over. For over $100 a seat we were not impressed. Good set, but we had no explanation for everything being fast forwarded. If it was because of the train and getting people home I get it, but would have liked an explanation.

    Good show, bad organisation

by Martin F on 2022-09-26Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

The set times changed the day of, drastically, and we almost missed the headliner. The line to get in was insanely long, as was the beer line. Thankfully the comedians were funny, the only silver lining.

    Great evening!

    by GT39 on 2022-09-26Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

Really enjoyed the show. This is our second major comedy event and it was a hit. The only complaint was the email that was sent out the day before with the erroneous start times. Fortunately we ignored…. Others didn’t and hopefully Ticketmaster rectified those that missed the show.

    Mehh

by Mehh on 2022-09-26Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

Show started late because it took so long to get into tie venue. They ran out of wine. First comedian was not very funny. Loved the second one. For 100 bucks, I thought Amy would have been on longer. She was only on for about 40 minutes. Overall, watch her on HBO, or Crave. Not worth the money.

Great Show, Horrible Experience at the Venue

    by G. E. on 2022-09-26Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

Amy Schumer was amazing like always and was so happy to see her again, but unfortuntly the ins and outs of Coca Cola Coliseum, put quite the damper on the evening. When we arrived entry was only through one area (a group of about 4 doors) the line curved out of the building, then down the entre length of the building, and turned and went down an entire length of another building (almost to where the gates of the EX Go Train is!) It was ridiculous. The show was to start at 7 and Amy to go on at 7:30 (differnet from the day before where she was going at 9:30) and this was about 6:45 (yes cutting it close, but it took us 2 hours to get to the show from Waterloo!) We figured there was no way we were going get in in time to see Amy for 7:30. Although the line did move somewhat quickly, once we got to the buliding, it was pure mass of people all trying to file into 4 doors and then 4 lines to get your cell phone put into a pouch. Once through, we made it to our seats just as the 1st act went on (late I will add since they must have realized that there was still a mile long line outside). Leaving was probably worse than going in, we now were all stuck in the main hallway all trying to get out the same few doors but first had to find a person randomly standing against a wall or in the crowd to have your cell phone unlocked from the pouch it was put in, but there was no lines, just a mass of people around these people trying to have them take your phone next so you could get out of there. So don't take your phone to the event you may think...I don't think that is an option anymore with tickets being digital. Even if you took one phone and used it for both tickets, you were still stuck in the absolute hell that they created. My husband and I both agreed, if we know ahead of time of an event is locking up phones, we probably wouldn't go, as this was beyond ridiculous and put a damper on our night.

    Short

by J Mitchell on 2022-09-26Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

The lineup to get in was brutal as they were taking away people's phones and locking them. The show was very short and was over an hour. Very disappointing and not worth the money

    Amazing amazing amazing

by Lianna on 2022-09-26Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

Amy was so amazing, as usual. The line ups were very long, but broke out to 4 lines closer to the doors, which was good. The cell phone locks and unlocks were not too bad; great job on efficiency. Drink lines were too long though; please add more staff in the future.

    Decent

by Mck on 2022-09-26Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

Overall show was very good. It just felt short. Show started 30mins late. Opening act was only on for 10-15mins. Second person was 15-20mins. Then Amy was on for an hr. Like I said. Good show, just seemed short for the amount of $$ it cost.

    Amazing show, poorly organized venue

by Happy with Amy, disappointed in the venue on 2022-09-26Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

Amy was absolutely amazing and I laughed every minute. The venue unfortunately was extremely poorly organized. If I could provide a review for each separately it would be 5 stars for Amy Schumer and 1 star for the venue. My friend and I arrived at the venue at 6:45pm and Amy did not start until 8:15pm, and yet by the time we were able to get into the venue, and through the concession line, we were 10 minutes late for Amy's set, and had missed both openers. That was almost 2 hours of waiting in line, and we had arrived before the show was supposed to start (7pm). I have never waited that long at a venue in my life and I frequent concerts and comedy shows on a monthly basis. The venue seemed entirely unprepared for the need to lock people's phones away, and serving concession (I am not sure why every drink including vitamin waters were being poured out of their plastic and aluminum cans, and in to more plastic cups - seems very wasteful and inefficient). It seemed the show started later because there were so many people who weren't able to get to their seats in time. When we arrived the line was looping around blocks, and it was clear the majority of the ticket holders were not inside the venue 10 minutes before the show was supposed to start. Amy Schumer was the redeeming quality, but definitely will not be going to another show at the Coca-Cola Coliseum ever again.

    Terrible setup by venue

by NNMP on 2022-09-26Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

The venue sent out incorrect information about set times. There was only 1 door for thousands of people arriving - all had to be filtered into 2 lines to have our cell phone we locked in pouches and purses checked. The concession lines had no organization- they crossed other concession lines and blocked access to the hallways. Then after the show, everyone had to exit through the same door and wait to have pouches unlocked before leaving. It was totally disorganized and took way too long. Would not return to that venue.

    Great Performance Terrible Organization

by AmandaL on 2022-09-26Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

Amy and the opening acts were great. I saw Amy at the theatre on Front street a few years ago and didn’t have any issues. This was a disaster. Getting into the venue was absurd and the set up was ridiculous. I may as well have stayed home at watched her Netflix special.

    Good show. Bad venue experience

    by L on 2022-09-26Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

The show itself was great but the wait in line to purchase drinks took so long that we missed the openers and the beginning g of Amy. It seemed that there was bar staff just wandering around doing nothing or moving extremely slow so that each order was taking 5 minutes to prepare. For the price of a drink I’d hope for more efficient service. Show was a five, experience was a 1 star.

Amy was great, the venue had issues

by Alex on 2022-09-26Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

Amy was great but the venue was not managed well. The event was a cellphone free event but the tickets required the mobile app?! You needed to bring your phone for the ticket but then you had to have it locked away in a bag and unlocked afterwards. That's just dumb.

    Loved the show!

    by K. G. on 2022-09-26

This was a last minute purchase when we found out Amy was in town and so glad we decided to go. She did not disappoint and really needed the good laughs. We totally understood why the locked our phones. The venue was small and not much space to move in the common areas no bad seats. We would see her again

    Lackluster Event

by Lee Lee on 2022-09-26Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

Coca-Cola Coliseum (a hockey arena) is just not the right venue for a comedy show. One way in, one way out of the arena. The use of Yondr pouches really slowed everything down. The lines were so big I couldn't even get a drink before the show despite entering 30 minutes prior to show time. Amy was originally scheduled for a 9:30 pm start and got moved up to 7:30 just hours before the show. This made for a really early start and end time. There were two opening acts before the headliner, each for 15 minutes. The show started on time despite most people not being in their seats. This show was as bare-bones as it gets. No light show. No music. Just a sheet for a backdrop. This would be fine in a more intimate venue, but in a hockey arena, it was disappointing. There was a constant echo throughout the show. Even though I have never seen Amy Schumer live before, her jokes felt redundant like it was nothing I hadn't heard before. Enough of the tired Covid jokes people! Honestly, I regret buying these tickets as I had a better time at Yuk Yuk's following this show for only $20, and at the numerous FREE Just for Laughs events going on in Toronto over the weekend. Toronto has many great intimate venues to choose from, but unfortunately, this is what you get when performers prioritize money and ticket sales over show quality. Not worth the money.

Amy was great, CocaCola Colosseum sucked

by tracy on 2022-09-26Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

We had mobility seats, at the top of the stadium. Having never been to this venue before we had trouble finding 118 due to signage being contradictory (The main sign pointed left, but a sign 2 feet away said straight ahead.) . when the lights came down for the show, the main lights stayed on at the top, meaning we were sitting under a spotlight, while the rest of the audience was in darkness, this was VERY distracting, and hard on the eyes.

    Great show

by LbM on 2022-09-26Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

Couldn’t stop laughing! Wished the audience would have been more supportive for her to come back for an encore.
