About

Justin Bieber on Tour

He's descended from the rafters attached to giant angel wings made of speaker parts. He's also held court to seas of screaming fans while sitting on a stool with an acoustic guitar. He's danced madly on EDM festival stages while backed by wild bass kicked out by Diplo and Skrillex, and he's faced off with Questlove in a live drum battle. He is, of course, Justin Bieber — the Canadian-born singer, songwriter, musician and world's biggest pop star, period. His debut concert tour, 2010's My World Tour, launched when he was 16, sold 1.4 million tickets and grossed $53 million. Although he's taken the occasional hiatus from the spotlight, Bieber was a seasoned performer before he was old enough to vote. At the heart of that success is an immense talent (both vocal and instrumental) initially tailor-made to court a global fan base of fervent tweens and kids. But as Bieber grew up, so did his taste and perspective. In tandem with setting Guinness World Records for streams, sales, radio plays, social media followers and video views, the boy became a man in public and on record — his celebrated fourth and fifth albums, 2015's Purpose and 2020's Changes, found him shedding a bubblegum background for new sonic frontiers and critical acclaim.

Justin Bieber in Concert

Justin Drew Bieber was born in London, Ontario, in 1994, and raised in low-income housing by the single mother who would share one of his earliest performances on YouTube in 2006, kicking off one of the most storied careers in music history. His talent was evident early on — Bieber was playing the drums at 2, and singing not long after. By the time he was 12, he was able to earn $3,000 busking in front of his town's theater during tourist season. Within a year of that, he'd been discovered by future music mogul Scooter Braun and introduced to Usher. Management and record deals followed, and Bieber and his mother moved to Atlanta to start building his future. In 2009, Bieber's debut EP, My World, dropped and went platinum within a month. All seven of its songs ended up in the Billboard Hot 100, paving the way for appearances on Ellen, at the White House and on Taylor Swift's tour. Up through 2012's Believe, with its single "Boyfriend," Bieber continued to project youthful optimism and innocent romance, but his career was effectively relaunched in 2015 after he teamed with Jack Ü to release "Where Are Ü Now," an edgy EDM track that found him expressing doubt and lamenting loss. That song, along with his similarly oriented "What Do You Mean?", set the stage for Purpose, a coming-of-age album that explored spirituality, struggle and mature love. Collaborations followed across dance (Major Lazer's "Cold Water"), Latin (Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's "Despacito"), rap (DJ Khaled's "I'm the One"), country (Dan + Shay's "10,000 Hours") and alternative pop (Billie Eilish's "Bad Guy"), culminating in 2020's appropriately named, fully grown offering, Changes.

    Toronto concert was brutal

    by LJ Som on 2022-04-15

JB needs a hug. I don’t think he smiled once the entire concert. Also, he barely engaged with the crowd. Instead of talking to the crowd, he would disappear between songs and a prerecorded video of him talking would play on the screen (mostly preachy religious stuff). I’ve been to many concerts and this is the first time I’ve left a concert liking the artist LESS. Don’t waste your money. If it wasn’t for the “lasers”/light show it would’ve been even worse. He clearly does not enjoy performing.

Awful that there isn’t any other Canadian dates

    by C. L. on 2022-04-05

I’ve been to Justin twice and the three times he’s toured he’s also been to Vancouver Edmonton Calgary Toronto Quebec Saskatoon etc this time just Toronto ! For Justin himself being a Canadian it’s absolutely ridiculous that he only has one Canadian date this tour ! What about the rest of us ? We don’t matter to him anymore I guess ! I’m so sad because he’s always came to other provinces unlike most artists who would just do Toronto but guess he’s turning into one of them now how sad - signed a very upset and angry bieber fan

    Amazing Evening with Justin

by Jomomasmile on 2022-04-02Canadian Tire Centre - Ottawa

I surprised my teen daughters for this show. I couldn’t wait to see him either. Justin is a True Canadian Gem! The venue was as always organized to get people in safely and fast. Was interesting to see so many people show up right when the doors opened well before the opening acts. Speaking of, Eddy Benjamin was sooooo stellar. Can’t wait to see what he becomes. Justin’s vocals were flawless and mad piano skills on his re arranged intro of Peaches. I loved it! What I was so shocked about was the encore. There was none! I have been to over 40 concerts and this was a first for me. The lights came on as soon as he walked off and the crew began to tear down. And that wrecked the Opportunity to try/ chant for one. Out of a packed show — sad that No one tried !!?? I apologize Justin. Ottawa should’ve showed you more love. ❤️

    Disappointed

by EricET on 2022-04-02Centre Bell - Montreal

6 out of 10 for me and the people with me. Sound was too loud and not clear. Justin keep dark glasses, gloves and cap for ¾ of the show. I understand that doing a show every other day or so is getting boring for him. Clearly doing this for the $$$. I have seen many shows in my life, and clearly Justin for the shows is not up to the level of the top stars in the business. People I have seen live Michael Jackson, Madonna, Garth Brooks give a better show then Justin. They are there for the fans not just their money. I love Justin’s music, but I will not pay big bucks to see him live. Not worth it. See it on YouTube it’s the same show and keep your money and time. Don’t recommend spending all this money for an artist who clearly would prefer doing something else. Eric (Montreal, Canada)

My least favorite show I have attended

by Alex B on 2022-04-02Centre Bell - Montreal

Everything was quite on the cheap side. I love the artist, however he was dressed in Workout gear and stayed dressed this way the entire time. The only special effects were the lighting as there was nothing else used to make the show special. Also, the show ended very quick with Bieber mentioning he is doing his last song then it was just suddenly over. Upon leaving the venue, there was a huge crowd jam and many exits were closed. It was so tight and people started to lose patients. We tried not to panic but the overall feeling was quite stressful especially being with my older mom. Overall the show was quite disappointing…I attend events at the Bell center at least monthly but I will not be attending another Bieber show.

Mind blowing out of this world amazing concert

by Carla Ferro on 2022-04-02Centre Bell - Montreal

Justin Bieber vocals are better than ever. He entertained us all with his charm , incredible vocals and dance moves. Bell center was hypnotized with greatness and positive vibes. The screen projections were awesome. They made every song come alive with visual connection to the lyrics and music. The opening acts I have to say were chosen with great taste. Mr Benjamin was so good. Mr Smith gave a performance just like if it was his concert. Loved the energy on stage. JB chose wisely. He has that inner gut feeling for greatness. The plane was truly a great concept. Justin is on top of the world right now. He is on a great journey and high on life , love and bonding with his fans. My ladies and I make JB concerts a girls night out. Its a tradition in my home. We can never be too old for JB concerts. Been a respectful caring fan since day 1. Justin Drew Bieber we wish you the happiest life ever. This Canadian family loves you just the way you are . We will keep praying for you just like we have these last 13 years . God bless you. I am grateful you are in our lives. Such a positive impact on us all. Enjoy your new chapter. Much affection. Carla. Melissa. Sarah. 💜💜💜

    Seat Fight!

by Tim L. on 2022-04-01Canadian Tire Centre - Ottawa

Nothing like getting an email that your tix changed and assigned new seats. When you arrive to find people in your old and new seats and the usher just says go to box office to fix the problem! Just as Biebs comes out.

    Fantastic show!

by Aims on 2022-04-01Centre Bell - Montreal

Show was uplifting and fun. Justin worked hard to connect and include all levels of the audience. We were up high but still really felt a part of it. Well done in all aspects of the show!

by Carla Ferro on 2022-04-01Centre Bell - Montreal

From the moment he was on screen. From the first dance move. From the first lyric until the end of the concert Justin blew the roof off Bell Center . It was the best of Bieber since 2016 . I am grateful and blessed my ladies and I made it. Forth concert and never ever disappointed. For us its family tradition. Taking my girls out for a night to remember
