    Peppa Pig Live

by Anonymous on 2018-05-04FirstOntario Concert Hall (Formerly Hamilton Place) - Hamilton

We did not like the fact that the characters were all puppets with people standing behind them the entire time. I would not recommend this performance to anyone and found it to be way over priced for what it was.

My little one loved it. The only bad thing I can say is that the intermission was tough trying to keep her occupied but I realize that you can’t control that.

Peppa was great but bad venue for kids!

by Ewald on 2018-05-02Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

My daughter loved the show, but the venue (Burton Cummings Theatre) was difficult to bring toddlers/kids into. The performance started 10 min late and my daughter got very antsy. The first act was only 30 min then they took a 15 min intermission, where my 2.5 year old again got very antsy. Other than a lot of waiting the show was great!

Fun event for kids and families

by Beejazzes on 2018-05-02National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

Five of us went to see Peppa Pig live on Sunday April 29th. Our seats were up in the Balcony but we had a great view of all of the action. We had twin 4 year olds and a 9 year old with us all of whom had a great time. The production did a good job of entertaining the kids and it was fun to see the puppeteers who actually moved the characters around the stage. I really liked the way they rotated panels at the back of the stage in order to change scenes. Complaints: Merchandise sold ( which kids of course wanted) was TOO expensive. There were too many special packages available none of which I could figure out how to access, especially the Treehouse package. That was particularily annoying because these kids watch Treehouse all the time. I understand people are late sometimes. It used to be that if people were late, they were seated elsewhere until intermission. It was VERY annoying to all of us, especially our 4 year olds to have people blocking their view as they stepped on our feet on their way to and from their seats.

    Not Worth the $

by lbomb55 on 2018-04-28Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Big disappointment! Instead of all the characters being humans in costumes, the smaller ones were puppets being controlled by people in plain sight. The props were negligible; the paint on the red car was even damaged. For what I paid I was very underwhelmed.

    Ok

I sat in nose bleeds which might not have helped but I felt that it wasn’t keeping my kids attention.

    Very disappointing

by SaraChloe on 2018-04-25Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Tickets were very expensive for the type of show it was. There was no real theme. It wasent like the peppa show, there wasent even real people in costumes and the voices were very different.

Kids enjoyed it, so I think that’s what matters most. As an adult, I thought it was over priced for the production. I wouldn’t recommend it but if your kid is really into peppa they re going to like it

Okay show for the kids who LOVES Peppa.

by Peppapapa on 2018-04-25Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Okay show. My kids didn't love it but did say they enjoyed it. Not sure it was worth the $270 I paid for 4 tickets through tickettmaster though. Use the money elsewhere. It was puppet style peppa pig instead of a costume....not what i expected.

Kids loved it, some odd factors

    by j908 on 2018-04-20Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

I found (like with Paw Patrol) it very strange that the characters are controlled by people that you can very obviously see. I found it distracting with these people dressed in black behind the characters. the parents were in full costume and looked so much better. The VIP is not worth the cost. The seats are good but the meet and greet after was crowded, not much for them to do.. colouring.. not very exciting and a long line to wait and meet them(with the people in black in the pictures too which clearly made most kids scared). the lunchboxes were cute that came with the VIP. I would just buy regular tickets to go again. The kids did like the show.

    Peppa Pig Live

    by Mann86 on 2018-04-18Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

To be honest, for what we paid (approx $365 for 4 tickets) I was disappointed. The stage set up was simplistic and lacking. The puppets were cute and the lead was energetic, but I wouldn’t pay to see this again. We are huge fans of the tv show and had big expectations and were let down.

Too expensive for a puppet show plus toys/Tshirts

by Neda on 2018-04-18Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

Noisy and not creative. Too expensive for what it has to offer. Also they clearly market to kids and make poor parents spend lots more money by bringing super expensive T-shirts and toys. It is ok to be a bit more expensive but selling kids T-shirt for the price of adult and offering expensive toys is greedy considering that they put high price on tickets too. Conveniently they made a long shopping break in between 2 parts. Most importantly it fails on acting voices, it fails on a fun/engaging friendship story, it fails on emiting emotions via puppets. I would call it Daisy show not Peppa Pig show. It was all about Daisy talking some cute but not that meaningful stories to kids. Being silly and jumping is fun but not for the entire show. My 3 year old liked parts in it but even him rarely laughed or wanted to engage in silly noise. If you’ve seen Somebody Loves You Mr Hatch, a puppet show performed by the Axis theatre in Vancouver and based on a book Eileen Spinelli, you would get amazing acted voices, deep and beautiful emotions with meanings about friendship and love so dense and flowing through the show for a fraction of price and not being marketed by expensive toys.
