The event itself was fantastic. The lacrosse was amazing.
The disappointment wasn’t with the event, but it was with the lack of exposure and lack of promotion of Canada’s game.
It’s unfortunate that it boils down to money in the end and because it’s not promoted more heavily, the numbers in attendance was a direct result of that.
Maybe 100-150 people there at each game which is absolutely embarrassing for the city and the venue. It should’ve been advertised on local television, radio, billboards, and especially outside of the Canada Life Centre. Instead it was a blip on the radar.
The fans who were there loved the game and enjoyed watching the fastest game on two feet, but the city itself should be embarrassed by their lack of interest in promoting a world championship event such as this.
Huge congrats to the teams who participated in the games, you all played your asses off and put on an unbelievable performance for the crowd who did attend. Nice work!
