    Amazing Music- Terrible Layout

    by Mello on 2023-08-29

As always, my siblings and I had our annual sibfest at Osheaga for the 13th year. We loved the music and the food but the layout of the park made it close to impossible to get from the main stage to the green stages safely or efficiently. Also, having the portapottys along the same path when you're stuck for an hour makes it unbearable. Its almost as though the planners didn't want us to move freely from the park. It would have been good for the planners to let the regular osheaga goers know that the routes between the stages had changed as we were completely lost on Friday trying to get around. PLEASE bring back the old layout to allow more.mo eme t between the stages and I will update my review to 5 stars, again. I was really disappointed missing so much of the sets I wanted to see due to the bottlenecks you created this year.

    Need more drink without alcool

    by Dave on 2023-08-20

Very hard to find none alcohol drinks on the site. More and more people are interested to pay for mocktail, Kambutcha or others without alcohol.

    Concert f Billy Elish

    by Martin on 2023-08-18

I was on the site for the Saturday at the concert of Billy Ellish. We arrived early, around 11am. We finally reach the site after few gates and we were in front of the stage. Really close to the front of the stage. We realized after around 13:30 that after I went at the bathroom and came back that the croud was already dense at the front and it will be impossible to leave again until the concert at night to go eat or at the bathroom unless we are willing to loose our spot. So we end it up stayning in front for 9 hours before Billy Elish concert without even being able to sit on the ground since the crowd was so dense, It was good at least to received free water from security but it was terrible day to standing up for 10 hours totals. Also, I find that having different group like The National before Billy Ellish doesnt fit at all with the crowd that is currenty all waiting for Billy Ellish. Poor band that nobody really care about them because young crowd dont even know them. If i ever go back to Osheaga, I will pay extra for VIP. I dont want to have that kind of experience again. The rest of the organization seems great if you want to stay a little bit further from the stage.

    Always fun!

    by Chanel on 2023-08-15

Disappointing that Aya canceled and the Rufus didn't really mix their set for the second time in MTL. Otherwise, great event! Entrance and getting places were easy!

    Super

    by Jojo on 2023-08-15

    Love osheaga

    by Whit on 2023-08-15

The festival was great! I love Montreal, and Osheaga and enjoyed the music and entertainment. I don’t love the lines, lines to enter the festival, lines for food, drink, bathrooms! I understand this happens at big events but seems to be a bit more of an issue at this particular festival. They had lots of people selling drinks/waters from coolers which was really convenient and was better than waiting in a long lineup. I had an experience where a drink selling staff was taking payment and when he saw that I skipped the tip option, he cancelled the transaction, re-entered the price for the drink and said I HAD to tip him. I’ve worked service industry for a long time, and I do not think that a tip is mandatory. The job is to provide the buyer with the drink they want and take the payment. Personally, I do not think that a tip is required for this type of purchase. I heard from others that they had similar experiences with staff and felt the same way. Aside from that, I think osheaga is a great festival and I hope to be back in the future!

    General Admission not it

    by Tashie on 2023-08-14

The lineup for Osheaga 2023 was amazing. Hence, why I purchased general admission tickets this year. That’s pretty much we’re the three stars come from, the other lack of two stars would be for the experience overall. Things about the experience with general admission that I did not quite enjoy. #1 the washroom situation. They had outdoor urinals by the portables, and that place was an absolute mess and disgusting. The building with the flushable toilets were not well maintained each day, toilet paper would be running out of the stalls before the events end each day. For an all ages event, it was a bit baffling. It just felt very nasty to use the washrooms there. Hence, if I were to attend again, I guess I would fork up the extra $400 for better toileting options. It just felt very messy overall, probably due to the amount of space in the venue and the massive crowds it attracts. Expect to wait for everything, from food to playing the little games and attractions they had scattered throughout the venue. I’m not sure if I would go again, maybe if I lived in Montreal and not on the other side of the country. It would take a Kanye to get me back there I think, but I’m glad to have experienced it in some degree. Again, the artists and their performances were top notch. The sound quality was good. The way the stages were set up made it convenient for watching performances. Travel from the stages that were farthest from each other took some time though due to the foot traffic, just be aware!

Good artists but many aspects that can be improved

    by Matt on 2023-08-12

Vibes are great and the artists booked were awesome. Kendrick and Dom Dolla ended their sets early. Porta potties need to be emptied and the stages are way too far from each other causing alot of congestion.
