    Pure Joy!

    by Speedmaster on 2024-01-08

The holidays are busy and this is the show to find something sit back and find your holiday spirit. You don't need to even know what a Hallmark movie is, you will find enjoyment in the fantastic music and story. We couldn't help but stand to clap at the end!

Phenomenal Show! The cast was outstanding with incredible staging and choreography to boot! I hope to see this show every Christmas in Toronto- there was something for everyone. This needs to be added to the annual winter shows here in the city! Thank you for such an entertaining time! Bravo cast and crew! Lots to be proud of!

    Great Fun

    by Annon. on 2024-01-08

Took some tweens that really love Xmas movies and they loved it. They said it was made better by being live and because of the songs. (The adults loved it too!) highly recommend.

    Lovely family event

by Chazza on 2024-01-07Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

Went to see this with my mom, daughter and bestie. We try to take in a Christmas themed event every year. This one did not disappoint, we all enjoyed and it did remind us of a hallmark movie. The venue was beautiful which really enhanced the experience. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Glad we went and looking forward to next year’s event.

    Festive, Energetic, Christmas Cheer!

by Jenna on 2024-01-06Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

I took my parents to see Chris, Mrs. It was such a lovely evening. The three of us really enjoyed the show. It was perfect for the occasion and it felt like you were watching a live Hallmark movie.. but much better! It was cute, funny, a little cheesy (but who doesn't love that), festive, full of energy and Christmas cheer! 10/10 would recommend!

    Great production values

by DonnaB on 2024-01-03Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

We decided to attend Chris, Mrs as our replacement Christmas entertainment, now that the Ross Petty show has come to an end. It is a pity that the Ross Petty group didn’t use its mailing list to promote this show. The singing and dancing were all great. The songs and the writing were cute. The reasons why I gave only a 4 rather than a 5 star review are: - it was nearly impossible to find out the plot of the musical before watching the show. Just stating that the story was based on a Hallmark movie theme was a bit vague; - the musical could have really benefitted from at least one really memorable tune. As soon as we left the theatre, none of us could remember a single tune; - the box office let the production down. I booked our box seats months in advance, to keep all our 6 ft+ family members, and my 90 year old mom in a wheelchair, out of the way. Alas, when we got to the theatre, we went round the houses with tickets being reissued, suggestions to split our group up into two groups seated across the theatre from each other, etc. We got it sorted in the end, but could have done without the stress and leaving our mom, in her wheelchair, out on the street in the cold. Meanwhile, while our seats were being sorted, people were coming up and asking for rush tickets and being turned away. Given that we attended the final performance and, moreover, that there were many empty seats in the house, I would have thought that it would have made sense to have sold as many tickets as possible. It was New Years Eve and opening up more last minute rush seats for this particular performance may have made some peoples’ day. In conclusion, Chris, Mrs. was an enjoyable seasonal treat.
