Great concert! Buzzing with life! Atif's performance was great. Sound could've been better. Hershey's Centre is not the best of venues for a music concert.

  • Was Lousy

by Pyara on 2016-10-23Hersey Centre - MississaugaRating: 1 out of 5

The music was so loud that it over powered Atif's voice

  • Pleasant Surprise

by Jolie on 2010-04-06RICOH - Toronto, ONRating: 4 out of 5

I went to the concert a bit wary as I'd heard mixed reviews about the US shows. Apparently Atif Aslam had only come on for 2 songs after a long warm-up act in Houston. In the Washington show, it seemed as if majority of the show consisted of a mish mash of bollywood dances, beauty pageants and a pianist. Not this one. I found the bollywood item entertaining and upbeat; they did a medley on Aahun Aahun, Hadippa and ...I forget the last song. I was slightly disturbed by the male dancers wearing shiny green halter tops. Other warm up acts included an old winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa; he was good, I just hadn't heard of him before. Then there was some big name violinist, at which point I lost interest. Ms Goshal was amazing; she sang live SO well, it was like a recording. She did all her major hits from Jadu Hai Nasha Hai to Dola re Dola to Teri Ore. Towards the end of her set, the crowd started yelling for Atif, poor girl. She didn't flinch and just said (in Hindi), "We are all here to entertain you, I am in this family and Atif is in this family too". Atif's performance was good too; he was creative and interactive and kind of quirky, I learned. Every single song he started, the crowd went nuts. However it became evident that the crowd was split - majority of the families had come there for Shreya so they just sat quietly and observed Atif, while the young, raucous adults raised a racket. I'm not sure if putting these 2 artists together was the best mix since they appeal to different demographics (with some crossover, I'm sure). One is very Bollywood and the other CAN be Bollywood but is mainly rock. Each entertained thoroughly in their own right.

  • Shreya is unforgettable!!

by SonnyG on 2010-03-29Ricoh Coliseum - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Could have had more of Shreya. Kind of expected that she would take a break with some other artists performing during intervals, and have a longer innings spaced out in a better manner. Hearing her for just an hour is never enough.

Shreya Ghosal's performance was as expected, superb. She should bring a known name as male singer: Udit Narayan, Shan, or Sonu Nigam. Atif Aslam did appeal to certain audience. ask him to sing himself, rather than over do on audience participation. We can sing along with his songs at home.

  • Shreya was good but Atif could be better

by HJwithNG on 2010-03-29Ricoh Coliseum - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

I guess I must be the odd person in the crowd as while most were enjoying their time I was critically evaluating the performace. I kept missing a lot of things. One reason could be that I have seen concerts where artists put in their 110% vs less than 75% that I got here. Key points I thought were missing: 1) Energy in Sherya's performance (although her voice always is sweet and melodious) 2) Precursion could have been a bit louder for the oumph that's needed for concerts 3) 'Jugal-bandhi' or syncro-play with orchestra was entirely missing 4) Variety was quite low 5) Atif's performance was less than enjoyable with performance at par with college-type band

  • Sherya was too good but atif was pain ....

by Sherya on 2010-03-29Ricoh Coliseum - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5

For sure, I will stay away from atif concert.....but sherya was marvallous.

  • Real Impact!

by Rubs on 2010-03-29Ricoh Coliseum - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Great show, very high energy performance1 Shreya was sweet and melodious with her amazing voice she sang beautiful bollywood numbers. Atif was ot of the world, looked very spontaneous and was experimenting with music on stage which made things exciting! he warmed up towards the end but by that time the show came to an end. I feel the initial time was wasted by some junior artists performance which we didnt expect! That time could have been used in Atif Aslams performance! could have performed longer than the time he was alloted!
