Jake Koffman was fabulous on the alto sax in paying tribute to his grandfather along with stellar performances by all band members, the entire show was energetic, entertaining and enjoyable!
Nice size venue. Great seats. Good reasonable price for tickets Cozy atmosphere. No problems with parking. Very enjoyable concert . Would definitely go to more events here.
Thoroughly enjoyed The Dan Bodanis Big Band. These guys were locked in. So very impressed. The band leader was charming, affable, and a real gem. He even had his talented son replace him on a couple of tunes. Would definitely see this big band again.
Will watch for more . will need to get on to the website to watch for these opportunities in the future.
The Dan Bodanis Big Band did NOT disappoint. In fact, The DBBB exceeded our expectations completely. "Sinatra -- Our Way"was a superb show at the Meadowvale Theatre on April 13th! Ensemble playing was flawless. Solos were mesmerizing. Vocals were terrific. Choice of songs was spot on. If you have a chance to hear and see this band live, do it! You won't be sorry!
What amazing local talent we have in the GTA! The musicians were amazing! Just absolutely beautiful music, it was hard to believe that it was live, which tells you just how good they are. The pianist was a great MC, we really enjoyed the effort he put into sharing a little bit of history behind the musical pieces and its composers. The theatre was great. All in all, excellent show!

Loved the storytelling of Charlie Brown (how the story came to be & the making of it). Very creative rendition to include the sax. Would be even better to show the movie in the background.
Where to start? The music presented and performed - the Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack - is a classic and all the musicians delivered it impeccably. That alone would already be the making of a great concert experience. But add to that the all-star line-up of talent: Swainson, Clarke, Koffman... so smoothly mceed by the multitalented Carmen Prada, not to mention his Peterson-like piano mastery. Then add to this the very ably confident yet mellow voice of Cat Bernardi.... just amazing is all I can say! More please!!
Fantastic set from Maestro Labarbera and the band. The technical notes between numbers were very informative. Had the pleasure of seeing a similar tribute to St Coltrane at The Rex last year - another unforgettable performance from Pat. And Meadowvale Theatre is such a great venue, just the right size and acoustics. Enjoyed it immensely! Looking forward to the Charlie Brown Christmas performance next month. More of these jazz events, please!!
