Awesome show. Really only went to see Animals as Leaders, never heard of Tesseract before and only knew Between the Buried and Me by name but was pleasantly surprised when I heard them both play. Tesseract was pretty good. My expectations were fairly low considering I had not heard of them and that they were the opening band but they put on a really good show and I was impressed by the vocalist's ability. Between the Buried and Me were really good too. All their songs were really good. The last bit of their performance was pretty cool, the drummer came out and did 50 pushups or so and then the singer went behind the drum set and played a little to end off their performance. Animals as Leaders was amazing. Saw them a year ago when they were in here and I liked how they didn't change their performance style but it was still amazing to see. They played really well, sounded just like the CD but was many times better because you can watch them play. All members of the band are amazing musicians. Overall, really great show put on by all bands, would definitely see them again if I got the chance.

Nothing will come between the buried and me again

by MrFister on 2011-05-04Rickshaw Theatre - VANCOUVER

Simply. Amazing. The two openers, The Ocean and Job For A Cowboy themselves could hold the show alone, but together they provided an incredible backdrop for the headlining act BTBAM. The Ocean are an experimental metal act who have been around for many years, this concert was my first taste of them and I found them quite good, but not my type of music. JFAC tore it up, and it seemed to be over far too fast to give them credit. The main act of course were well prepared, and annihilated every expectation I ever had of them. The moment i hear of another tour is the moment i buy my next ticket. Highlight of my LIFE!

    Flawless execution

by Chaputenator on 2011-05-01Rickshaw Theatre - VANCOUVER

BTBAM were perfect, technically perfect, and the sound was great to go along with it. Sound was so good that I left with my ears barely ringing. Don't get me wrong, it was LOUD AS HELL. But the sound quality and balance was so great that the music rarely peaked, and all instruments could be heard. This seems a trend with BTBAM as this was the 3rd time I've seen them, and they've been great, and had great sound all 3 times now, no matter what venue it is. I'm not a fan of Job for a Cowboy or The Ocean, seems like opening bands these days are better off being skipped.

They are flawless live. A little disappointing with sound guys. Not nearly enough vocals coming through very hard to hear, but regardless amazing show.
