About

Black Eyed Peas are a multi-plantinum-selling hip-hop trio from Los Angeles, California composed of will.i.am, apl.de.ap and Taboo. Early albums in the group’s discography include Behind the Front (1998) and Bridging the Gap (2000), but their breakout came in the early 2000s when Fergie joined the trio ahead of their third studio album Elephunk (2003), which included their first hit singles “Where Is The Love?” and “Let’s Get It Started.” The Black Eyed Peas went on to help define the sound of hip-hop and dance-pop throughout the rest of the decade thanks to their follow-up LPs Monkey Business (2005), The E.N.D. (2009) and The Beginning (2010). In 2011, the Black Eyed Peas headlined the Super Bowl XLV halftime show before going on hiatus, with Fergie officially leaving the group in 2018. Since then, J. Rey Soul has joined the act as a touring vocalist, and recent albums as a trio include Masters of the Sun Vol. 1 (2018), Translation (2020) and Elevation (2022). In 2025, the Black Eyed Peas will kick off their Las Vegas residency, Black Eyed Peas: 3008.

Best, best, best! The elevated DJ segment was incredible - loved the homage to the classics! I would have paid the money just to hear BBP and Good Night!

  • by Hotwire on 2010-07-28Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The lighting effects of the concert were simply outstanding! The show became very visually enjoyable because of the lighting effects and the sound engineer did a phenomenal job balancing the vocals with the instrumental backing of the Black Eyed Peas. I enjoyed the show very much. Air Canada Centre is a perfect venue for these types of concerts ... the sound system here is awesome!

  • BEP Visual Explosion

by AgedBeef on 2010-07-28Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

This is the 3rd time I've seen BEP and Fergie once. Never a disappointment -- visually or their sound. The visuals for this one were off the chart for me -- and gave the event a depth you don't get with the CDs. I go to concerts like this for the entertainment value and BEP delivered a memorable nite for me. Can't wait for them to come back so I can take my Lady to see them again.

  • I GOTTA FEELING!

  • Ohhhh Fergie!

    by Saber2th on 2010-07-28Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

A great show put on by the Peas.... just realize that other than Fergie, the vocal capabilities are better on the albums than in person, but I was highly entertained from start to finish..... and ohhh that Fergie!!!

  • BEP rocked the house

by Reviewit on 2010-07-28Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 2 out of 5

Last night I went to the Back Eyed Peas concert fully expecting a great “show” performance. They had very good lighting and stage effects. They opened up well. About 40 min into the show 3 out of 4 members left and it was 20 min of “dance music mix” party, which was NOT what I paid for. If I wanted this type of show, I would have gone to any of the various downtown clubs that offer that. Actually this part of the show upset me so much that I had a hard time enjoying the rest of the concert. I’ve never been to a concert where the performers spend 20 minutes NOT playing their own material!!!!!! The acoustics at the ACC were TERRIBLE and the background music was drowning out the singers (when they decided to sing). On the upside, they do sound pretty good live. All in this concert was a disappointment.

That was the most amazing concert I have ever been too. The lighting, lasers, costumes, dancing and special effects were out of this world. From Taboo's flying motorcycle, to Wil'I'Am's amazing DJ segment, to Fergie's voice. Blown away is all I can say

  • Best concert I've seen yet

by ShepdogMontreal on 2010-07-28Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Maybe it was because all the songs they played were hits, but the entire concert never had a low point. It was high energy the whole show.

  • BEP was Glamorous!

by Lourodeo on 2010-07-28Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Wow! What a show! The motorcycle up on the tightrope. The stereo-speaker robots. The DJ. Fergie. Hey what is that new song they just wrote in Toronto? We should get a first of that new one, EH? Amazing. Jason Derulo was surprisingly good too.

This is my 2nd time seeing BEP & they are awesome!! so eneregetic and original! I love that they each perform some of their solo stuff as well. I've been to about 12 concerts & BEP are still my favourite to see!! Would love to be able to meet them one day! I brought my 10 yr old daughter for her birthday with 2 of her best friends & they had a blast!

  • What a stage light show!!!!

    by Dgow452 on 2010-07-28Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

First hip hop concert and it ROCKED!!!!!!! From rising out of the stage to the encore enjoyed it all. I have seen seven shows this year and it is tied with Scorpions as the number one concert of the year! It was everything the setlist said it was. Taboo came out of the air on a motorcycle for a short set. Will. I. Am rocked the house. Fergie did a wonderful job on big girls don't cry and so did the audience! What a wonderful night. Apl.de.dap did bebot and it rocked don't know philipinese but it rocked!!! I bought these tix on march and it felt like forever to come and when it came... Wondeful Thanks Blacke Eyed Peas for an unforgettable night!!!!

  • Black Eyed Peas were Unforgettable!

by SStimac on 2010-07-28Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Going into the concert, I was expecting a great show-- but my expectations were exceeded! Front Row to the part of the stage coming out, they were so close! Not only were the effects AMAZING, with tons of lasers and smoke, and of course the band performing, but the atmosphere was enough to get you jumping, screaming, and singing along!

  • BEP .......It was a GREAT nite!!!

by chickpea on 2010-07-28Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Went with my 3 kids and they had a great time including myself. They sang some old and some new and the special effects were amazing. Would definitely go see them again!!

  • BEPs are phenomenal in TO!

by vedividivincivic on 2010-07-28Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Fanstastic performance as usual from the Black Eyed Peas. High octane energy, visually explosive! Jason Derulo was also good as opener. Was it just me or was the sound system a bit off though?

  • Save your money

by Reviewit on 2010-07-28Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 2 out of 5

Pros: - The first part of the show was really good - The props were incredible - They sound great live (when the music is not drowning them out) Cons: - costumes were awful in my opinion and were not very flattering - here's the main issue that killed the concert for me - about mid way through they had a band member (questionable if it even was at this point) dressed in pretty much Hannibal Lecter gear do some dj mix for about 25 minutes while the rest of the band took off -- if I wanted to listen to some mix I would've went to a night club - I'm never a fan of any band not singing their own songs at their concert so needless to say - best to let U2 sing their own songs at their concert -- we paid to listen to Black Eyed Peas not a bunch of mixed music from different artists. It's not like they don't have enough of their own material, so I don't get why they did this - lights were blinding (but I suppose this depends on where you're sitting) Bottom Line: * I'd say save your money for a band who stays on stage and plays all of their own music the whole way through -- we can all understand a bit of time loss for costume change (no matter how ridiculous they look when they come back) but this took it to a whole new level and totally ruined the rest of the show for me.

  • @BEP @ACC

    by LisaB2B on 2010-07-28Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

BEP was fabulous and fun as usual. However, sound at the ACC was less than stellar! At one point, Fergie was singing "Don't Funk With My Heart" and you could see her singing but not hear a thing! Otherwise, great show!
