Blippi The Musical on Stage
Blippi The Musical is a two-act comedy about a boy named Blippi who loves to play in the world while taking his viewers along for the ride. He inspires kids to explore their environment with curiosity and creativity, teaching them about responsibility through song and play. Stevin John is the original creative force behind Blippi, whose energetic, childlike persona is portrayed in thickly framed glasses, a blue button-down shirt, bright orange suspenders, bow tie, and cap to match. John wrote, acted, filmed, edited, produced and shared Blippi's first episodes on YouTube in 2014. The videos quickly became an obsession among kids between the ages of 2 and 6 years old, and the parents who discover Blippi in search of wholesome kids' content on the internet also appreciate John's safe material. The show's popularity amassed billions of view counts as Blippi catapulted into the limelight. John would eventually sign a master toy deal with Jazwares LLC and sell his edu-tainment program to Moonbug Entertainment, who partnered with Virgin Media to distribute the show in the United Kingdom. It's now dubbed in Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, German, Arabic, and Hebrew, and the spin-off show, "Blippi's Treehouse," began airing on Amazon Kids+ in 2021. This all-ages extravaganza produced by Round Room Live will feature a dynamic stage actor cast to perform Blippi The Musical on tour, thrilling live audiences nationwide.

Concert was mostly as expected. We knew going in that these were stage actors so that wasn't a surprise. I think the level of interactivity with the kids was good but it could have been better. The show as a whole was quite entertaining but I do have to wonder if they were really singing onstage or lip-syncing with a prerecording. Still, there were a fair amount of kids getting up to sing and dance around with the group on stage. I'm not sure the intermission was necessary but it did give us a chance to purchase some highly overpriced souvenirs and treats. It was good to have the experience for the Blippi fan but for the price of the tickets I was hoping for more.
I's a little misleading. As an adult, I noticed the difference in behaviour and appearance. It's okay to hire other comedians to perform, but it's important to mention it. My kids told me that they weren't the real ones, which is disapointing. Also, you couldn't see them on big screen, and because we were very far up, we couldn't see them clearly. The songs were still well performed with lots of energy! But I would only recomment if the show stays transparent and mentions that the actors are not the ones we see on TV.
My little one had a great time. There were a few different things that were out of the control of the venue but other way, so much fun!
I would have given 5 star however, it was not the same Blippi or Meekah that you see on Television.. I was a little thrown off by this and my 6 year old knew the difference (my 2 year old did not). Really great performance other than that.
I usually try to put a positive spin on everything but this experiment w was a complete let down. It was not a cheap night out, for sure. The quality of the event was not as good as I expected. I should have known better since it’s not the authentic Blippi. The show was only singing and dancing. Absolutely no audience interaction, expect a few lines that were scripted. The entire show was about 1.5 hrs, and that includes the completely unnecessary 20 minutes break in the middle. That age group does not need a bathroom break, they will go when they need to during the show. My children lost interest during the break and then didn’t really get back into it for the ending. Microphones were not working well. Just a fair performance, I would not recommend it to anyone.
Disappointed in the quality of the singing, microphones for performers were inconsistent for volume. Could have been way more interactive! A 20-minute break in the middle of a 1-hour show is a lot for little kids.
The actor was good (Meekah actress not so much), but it doesn't really capture the essence of Blippi... My son loves the show because Blippi demonstrates and explains all kinds of things, from the mundane like fixing a faucet to the exciting like rollercoasters. I get that there would be some challenges translating that to a stage, but this is just all song and dance. I wouldn't have spent the money on it if I'd known that's all it was. We left shortly after intermission as my son was bored.
My son had a blast ..dancing and singing thank you so much for the wonderful show !!
The sound quality was way off. Couldn’t understand what Blippi’s friends were saying. From our seats my son couldn’t quite tell it wasn’t the same blippi as tv but meekah he could tell and wasn’t impressed. I would think for the price and the hype the casting would have been better. I’m still not sure if they were lip syncing or not. Not a show I’d go back to see again and probably wouldn’t recommend unless you have a huge blippi fan. Overall I’m glad we went because my son was a big blippi fan for the past 2 years so it’s a nice way to end our blippi phase.
