Bond & Beyond Tickets

Excellent evening but toooo short. To the intermission, was less than 40 minutes.

The acoustic was phenomenal allowing us to hear the sounds produced by all instruments to bring all the thematic songs in vibrant and feel-good ways. Kudos to the musical conductor, the two lovely singers and a touch of humor from either the conductor or the violinists. The choice of songs and their sequence throughout the evening were well thought out. The quiz was an excellent idea to interact with the audience. As a suggestion, it would be worth considering how to integrate a glimpse of a key scene or symbolic image from the film associated with the song presented throughout the show without disrupting the audience from the actual orchestra and musical show. We were very pleased of our evening and really enjoyed our musical experience. Thanks!

Time fly very fast with this great show of about 50 minutes before the intermission and then about 45 minutes after. Great orchestra and singer Rebecca Noēl has a great voice and 1 prestation of a fabulous opera female vocalist that sounded like heaven! Very appropriate for the 7 to 97 year old people who specifically will recognize the James Bond and Beyond theme music and song. I was not deceived!

All the James Bond themes you could possibly get in a concert. The orchestra was top notch, the 2 singers were exquisite, the lineup was amazing! Loved it a lot. Please bring back more of this type of concert!

The NAC orchestra is truly amazing. Just absolutely wonderful !! However, that evening’s conductor had to give a bit more of a show « when conducting », since the evening itself was very dry. No film clips behind scene, no visuals, simply light colour changes. Sound mixing was amateurish. Tymps were overpowering and they seem to have forgotten to mic up the drum kit. In the end they missed out on playing more of the Bond classics to make it more interesting. Thankfully the singing/voices saved the night.

Amazing show, it went so fast as I was completely mesmerised. The vocalist Rebecca who sang "Diamonds are Forever", "Goldfinger" etc was amazing. The female conductor was charismatic and looked like she was having so much fun with these sweeping big band themes. I liked some of the "Beyond" choices like "Mission Impossible" and the theme from Austin Powers. If you are a Bond fan you will love it. Having heard these pieces of music on screen/ stereo system it is truly something else to hear them live. One complaint, the aria from Tosca I think was a bit of a stretch and felt out of place. Well worth the ticket price, would go again if I could.

A wonderful selection of the best Bond songs from the franchise. The Ottawa orchestra led by conductor Michelle Merrill and guest singers Rebecca Noelle and Charlotte Siegel gave a stirring performance that harkened back to the original musicians, composers and artists. An interactive show that should not be missed by a Bond fan or any fan of movie soundtracks.
