Jousting@Agribition
by Donmarlit on 2021-11-27Brandt Centre - ReginaFrankly I was underwhelmed. I felt like I was on a Mexican excursion where the reality bears little resemblance to the ad. There were only two horses shared by three jousters; and there was about ten minutes total of jousting. The rest of the time was taken up with a young man showing and telling about three trained birds of prey. The birds were beautiful but they got five minutes each in the spotlight and then back into their covered cages. There were four bits of medieval costumes men sword/axe fighting in a ring. It seemed fairly staged and I have my doubts that three of the seven or eight fighters were actually from Regina! Even the jousting seemed a bit staged. The MC could certainly have upped his game and dressed in medieval costume instead of a Tshirt and jeans with neon runners. They started about twenty five minutes late and spent about fifteen minutes doing overblown introductions. It was interesting to see but I would not go again.
