  • Good to be back but…

by Sawsee on 2021-11-30Brandt Centre - ReginaRating: 4 out of 5

I thought that Agribition and the rodeo were really good. It may have been smaller scale in some ways, but with Covid, I would expect such. I was super surprised??? by the fact that MOST people at the rodeo were not wearing their masks in their seats. Thought it was a germ fest waiting to happen. That being said, I wore my mask and enjoyed the show.

  • Great Time but…

by Rapper Cowboy on 2021-11-30Brandt Centre - ReginaRating: 4 out of 5

Wish there would have been a designated and proper DJ or band and an area for dancing rather than just standing room everywhere. Mechanical Bull was good but a cabaret is meant for dancing.

  • Unorganized

by Rachel on 2021-11-30Brandt Centre - ReginaRating: 2 out of 5

The line to get in to the party in the dirt was ridiculous. Everyone paid $25 to get in and it started at 9:30, I was still in line at quarter to 11. It was unorganized and I likely won’t go back next year. There also could have been another bar area open so the line for drinks wasn’t so long.

  • Agribition 2021

by Bent on 2021-11-28Brandt Centre - ReginaRating: 5 out of 5

The Agribition was an excellent experience. This was our first time attending. Everything was so well organized. We enjoyed the cattle shows. (Hereford) There was no wait time. The classes were back to back. In the evening we went to the Rodeo. Very organized. Action Packed. The only thing that could of made it a better experience was to be able to understand what the announcer was saying at the rodeo. The sound was very poor. The cattle show was better but not great. We plan on going next year!

  • Awesome Rodeo!

by Lee on 2021-11-28Brandt Centre - ReginaRating: 4 out of 5

Our first time and we loved it! My only complaint was about the tickets. I purchased on line. It asked about insurance which I assumed was free so I ticked the box then got the email stating the cost was $32 - on the 4 tickets for $60! For what I’m not sure.

  • Jousting@Agribition

by Donmarlit on 2021-11-27Brandt Centre - ReginaRating: 2 out of 5

Frankly I was underwhelmed. I felt like I was on a Mexican excursion where the reality bears little resemblance to the ad. There were only two horses shared by three jousters; and there was about ten minutes total of jousting. The rest of the time was taken up with a young man showing and telling about three trained birds of prey. The birds were beautiful but they got five minutes each in the spotlight and then back into their covered cages. There were four bits of medieval costumes men sword/axe fighting in a ring. It seemed fairly staged and I have my doubts that three of the seven or eight fighters were actually from Regina! Even the jousting seemed a bit staged. The MC could certainly have upped his game and dressed in medieval costume instead of a Tshirt and jeans with neon runners. They started about twenty five minutes late and spent about fifteen minutes doing overblown introductions. It was interesting to see but I would not go again.

  • Cirque De Medieval

by Daring Damsel on 2021-11-26Brandt Centre - ReginaRating: 4 out of 5

We enjoyed the falconry demonstration, though the falconer spoke too quickly and was way too wordy. Slowing down his speech and telling the audience only the key points would be better, as people were starting to lose interest in what he was saying. I liked that he dressed in period costume! The jousting event was impressive and entertaining! The knights had awesome armor, and the MC engaged well with the audience. I feel the jousting event would have been an even better, more authentic presentation had the Master of Ceremonies and his assistants been dressed in period costume as well. Carry on and keep safe!

  • Cirque Medieval did not disappoint

by Harlan on 2021-11-26Brandt Centre - ReginaRating: 5 out of 5

First time attending Cirque Medieval at Agribition. We took our grandson - 3 1/2 years old - and we all had a great time clearing the knights in battle on foot and on horseback. This was real, full-contact jousting and hand-to-hand combat in “the octagon” with various weapons. The show started with an educational, but too long, presentation on falconry with a number of different birds. The jousting was scary with Percheron horses carrying knights in heavy armour, lances breaking, and one knight was knocked off his horse in one joust. We cheered for our favourites, and winced when they got hit. The whole evening was entertaining and we loved it! Before the show, we toured the livestock exhibits and listened to the band.

It was a wonderful evening. I loved all b the events and how much they care for their 4 legged athletes.

  • Great Rodeo

by Jacque on 2019-12-03Brandt Centre - Evraz Place - ReginaRating: 3 out of 5

Great rodeo and displays. Not impressed with entry fee when you have rodeo tickets. You know people will be buying stuff-food,drinks and merchandise so why not make it affordable so all levels if income can come and learn more and their food! Too expensive for families with small children.

  • Back again after a 3 year absence

    by 123Farmer on 2019-12-02Brandt Centre - Evraz Place - ReginaRating: 4 out of 5

Agribition is what we expected and it is nice that it hadn't change much over the years. We really enjoyed the rodeo with the clown. He makes it enjoyable. There was plenty of selection of vendors selling products and/or services for all and we are glad we went.

  • The Free Style Motocross

by ESPO on 2019-11-29Brandt Centre - Evraz Place - ReginaRating: 5 out of 5

Well, the FreeStyle Motocross at the Brandt Center on Tuesday night was really a lot of fun to watch and see these young guys fly their bikes through the air as they do. It was really great to see the 5-year-old boy ride the living daylights out of his bike at such a young age. All in all, it was a great event for a city the size of Regina however I do wish that there would have been more people in the stands that evening.

  • Agribition

by jrcheese on 2011-11-29Brandt Centre - Evraz Place - ReginaRating: 3 out of 5

My favorite parts of Agribition are the ranch horse competition and auction and the rodeo. The only thing about the rodeo I did'nt like was the two drunks, man and a woman, sitting behind us spilling their beer on my wife and daughter. If they had'nt been in their early 60's I guarantee there would have been a scrap in the crowd on friday night Maybe next year you could implement a drunk section to keep them in one area.

The team roping steers were roped out so not much of a challenge, probably anyone in the crowd could rope them.
