CARLOS VIVES IN CONCERT:

Colombian actor and singer Carlos Vives is as renowned for his charismatic persona on stage as he is for his music. Following an 8-year hiatus, it’s no surprise that fans worldwide clamored for tickets when Vives returned to the concert stage for his 2013 Corazón Profundo world tour. Lucky for all, VIves proved himself the same energetic performer fans have come to love, prompting additional tour dates for 2014.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

“Carlos Vives was energetic and very engaging. His performance was awesome and the musicians were outstanding.”

“Carlos Vives’ energy on stage is absolutely contagious!”

“This concert was amazing and unforgettable! Carlos Vives gives you everything. So much energy, beautiful songs and a huge party, basically. I would see him again in a heartbeat.”

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Multiple Latin Grammy Award winner Carlos Vives has sold over 17 million albums, making him one of the most successful Colombian recording artists in history. He first rose to fame playing the role of legendary vallenato composer Rafael Escalona in the 1991 Colombian telenovela Escalona. Soon, Vives' television role turned into reality as he began to release his own brand of vallenato music, invigorating the traditional genre by incorporating touches of rock and pop. Beginning with his 1986 album debut Por Fuera y Por Dentro, Vives would go on to release a string of successful albums in the '80s and '90s, including 1995's chart-topping La Tierra Del Olvido.

    Sadly fell short

by Laura on 2022-09-12Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

Carlos stated 1 HR and 10 minutes late and the waif was not worth it, as he wasn’t singing much, leaving the work to the back up singers. The concert was lacking energy, honestly. So much that it didn’t even make it to the 2 HR mark. Oh well, first and last.

    Sound very bad

    by Alex on 2022-09-12

The concert was supposed to start at 7:30 Andres started at 9;00 the sound was very bad! Carlos Vives put the microphone in his mouth every 5 min so I didn’t hear his voice at all, just the band was amazing and the cHorus had a better sound! So I was waiting for 2 years for this?

    Best Colombian Ambassador

by Diana on 2022-09-12Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

Excellent concert! the venue was great, the concert was just delayed 20 min which is not a problem at all. The sound was perfect and the music couldn’t have been better! Carlos Vives is the best Colombian Ambassador, he does his job with real passion, his band was also amazing! it was an awesome concert! the only complain was with the lights by our sitting area 112 Q, they were on and we were so hot! we would’ve enjoyed the concert even more if it was dark like the rest of the sitting areas.

    VERY disappointing

by Maria on 2022-09-12Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

Because of the pandemic, I was waiting for this concert for over a year and I must say it was a HUGE disappointment. This guy didn’t even bother to put the mic over his mouth. He just let the choir do the work and mumbled a few notes every 5 minutes. On top of that the sound mixing was terribly loud and you could barely hear the voice over the music. Overall it was fun because the songs are famous, however, I should have saved my money and listen to him on Spotify.

    Let down

by LiRo on 2022-09-12Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

The artist was great, but we had problems very early on starting with trying to call your designated accessibility phone number and no human ever answered. We got to the venue and since accessible seats close to our original seats were gone. You need to make this b prices clearer. At the concert the audio was horrible. The video screens were also blurry. Not sure who's fault that is.

    Fun but disappointed

by Sil on 2022-09-12Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

Our seats were changed, we were supposed to be in the first row and they switch us to the 3rd, if you are going to move the section the seats need to be kept. The sounds was not the greatest

I felt no real connection with Carlos. It seemed he was rushing through his agenda. Great musicians but the sound not so great. I couldn't always hear Carlos singing. That was disapointed!
