About

Carly Rae Jepsen in Concert

After multi-platinum Grammy, Juno and Polaris Prize nominated singer/songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen released her critically acclaimed album E·MO·TION in 2015, it became "a modern touchstone for a new crop of pop-leaning artists and legacy acts," as NPR noted. The album also inspired an abundance of memes — extending the cultural cachet that Jepsen earned from the ubiquity of her GRAMMYÂź -nominated blockbuster hit "Call Me Maybe" (from her U.S debut album Kiss), which not only climbed to No. 1 on the iTunes Singles charts in over 47 countries, sold over 20 million singles worldwide, and was certified Diamond in the U.S., but was referenced by everyone from former secretary-of-state Colin Powell to Cookie Monster.

Jepsen's most recent album, 2019's Dedicated, retains the joyful, hook-filled feeling of its predecessor. But where E*MO*TION was an '80s-influenced synth-pop classic that Rolling Stone called "a pop masterclass" and Stereogum called "indisputable, unfuckwithable pop genius," Dedicated has a more '70s-inspired feel at times, though the album defies categorization as a whole, with Vulture stating, "Dedicated is both stranger and freer than the last record, but it also feels more confident and considered." Working with a crew of trusted songwriters and producers, among them John Hill, Jack Antonoff, Captain Cuts, Patrik Berger, and her longtime collaborator Tavish Crowe, Jepsen indulged in more sonic experimentation than she had in the past. Dedicated features the fan favorites "Party For One," "Now That I Found You," "No Drug Like Me" and "Julien."

Jepsen landed the lead role in the 2014 Broadway production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella and later starred as the iconic Pink Lady, "Frenchy," in FOX's four-time EMMY award winning musical GREASE: LIVE. Jepsen voiced the character of Odette in the animated movie "LEAP!," which also featured Jepsen's song "Cut To The Feeling."

Carly Rae Jepsen on Tour

Following the release of Dedicated Jepsen embarked on a global tour playing to audiences in North America, Japan, China, Australia, Canada and Europe. Jepsen will return to the U.S. later this year for performances at Coachella and Governor's Ball.

    Not very personal

by TL on 2022-09-27MTELUS - Montreal

It was a good show but it was just song after song after song. No small break to talk to the crowd to make it feel special.

    Fun, high energy show!

by Andrew McGregor on 2022-09-27MTELUS - Montreal

I trundled two hours down the 417 highway from Ottawa to see Carly Rae at the MTELUS venue. Empress Of opened the show. At the beginning of her set she seemed a little awkward but she got more into it as her set went on and after 5 songs she was quite impressive. Carly Rae had a very cool set that was used to good effect. I enjoyed a good selection of her material but unfortunately her new album was coming out a couple of weeks after the show so I knew only a couple of songs from the new album. Overall a great show - enjoyed it a lot!

400 Stars! Everything I could have wanted

by IanM on 2022-09-26Budweiser Stage - Toronto

The Bleachers have come up on other bands' artist radio a few times and they're pretty good, but their live show totally sold me on their appeal. Insane stage energy, great songs, and even my advanced cynicism couldn't hold against them. Then Carly came on and the show totally went to another level! I've seen her before with a stripped-down stage show and it was great but I didn't expect such a spectacle on top of the perfect set list! I was a bit worried about the sound mixing after seeing Jack White in the summer, but some people worked their magic and the sound was incredible in section 404!

    She's a Queen!

    by J. L. on 2022-09-26

Went to see her in Montreal (2022). It was my second time going to a Carly show and, once again, she was perfect! Her energy on stage mixed with the energy of the public makes it a dream-like experience. Can't wait to see her for a 3rd time

    Bleachers sound balance was awful

by Leanne on 2022-09-26Budweiser Stage - Toronto

The sound balance for Bleachers was terrible from our seats in 305, we could barely hear the vocals, the sax was too loud and everything sounded fuzzy. It was a shame, because I could tell the performance was strong. On the plus side, we were upgraded from section 406 to 305, which was really nice.

    Getaway with Carly

by Tos on 2022-09-26Budweiser Stage - Toronto

I adore CRJ and the crowd might have been lacking but that didn’t stop me from having the most fun I've had in two years. All the songs were done so well and I LOVE her backup singers. The choreo was so cute :) I could barely see but the screens were a great spot from my seat so I'm glad that I attended!

I loved every minute of Carly Rae's set. Her songs just sound sooooo much better live...and they're already good in the studio version! Loved the energy on stage, her band was amazing, and I was dancing to every song! She is really one of the best pop artists today!!!!!

    Amazing

by Richard on 2019-09-22London Music Hall - London

I thought this was an amazing time. Ralph, the opening act was fun with tons of energy and a perfect compliment to Carly Rae. CRJ kept the crowd excited the entire time, did some great classic hits and new stuff, and even when she was losing her voice a bit she pushed the energy right until the end. We had a wonderful experience.
