About

Originally called Cascade until legal conflicts forced them to change their name, Cascada is the slick, uplifting Euro-dance trio featuring producers DJ Manian and Yanou along with vocalist Natalie Horler, although Horler is sometimes presented as Cascada herself. Horler was born in Bonn, Germany, to English parents and grew up loving all sorts of music. At age 18 she was doing studio work for various producers when she met DJ Manian and Yanou, the latter of whom had worked with DJ Sammy on the worldwide dance hit "Heaven." The trio recorded the single "Miracle" in 2004 under the name Cascade, which was soon changed to Cascada -- Spanish for "Waterfall" -- for the second pressing. The single took off in German clubs and eventually caught the ear of the U.S.-based Robbins Entertainment label, which had previously turned Euro-dance acts DJ Sammy and D.H.T. into American chart-toppers. Robbins re-released "Miracle" along with follow-up singles "Bad Boy," "Everytime We Touch," and "How Do You Do!," which was a cover version of a Roxette song from 1992. The big hit came at the end of 2005, when DJ Sammy and Yanou encountered the song "Everytime We Touch" by Scottish vocalist Maggie Reilly. The trio re-recorded the tune and by mid-2006 their version was a worldwide smash, including in America, where it topped the dance charts and made it into the Top Ten of the pop charts. The album Everytime We Touch also arrived that year, and featured all the previous singles along with covers of Savage Garden's "Truly Madly Deeply" and Kim Wilde's "Kids in America." In 2008 Cascada returned with the single "What Hurts the Most plus the album Perfect Day. Two years later, "Evacuate the Dancefloor" became a worldwide hit and the title track to their 2009 album. ~ David Jeffries, Rovi

As much as I like Cascada, I was very disappointed in the overall event. Making people wait over 3 hours for a half hour performance is not worth the price people paid especially considering the DJ wasn't that great either and it's music we hear on the radio on an everyday regular basis.

Cascada played for less than a half hour!!

by Samg on 2010-04-19Edmonton Event Centre - Edmonton

The opening acts were great.. the music was good.. Cascada then came on stage and she was polite and had energy but played a total of 7 songs!! She wasn't even on stage for half an hour!!! I think everyone was shocked and didn't know if she was joking or not when she said THANKS FOR COMING.. and walked off stage at the "end" of her show. Mmmm not really worth it in my eyes to pay to see a headliner play for less than a half hour! BOO!!!

    Cascada stole the show

by thedarkknightt on 2010-04-17Silver Dollar Casino - Calgary

Overall not a bad show. Tickets said show + events at 7pm, which was deceiving considering the first 2 hours were a DJ, then District 5 (a local Calgary rap group), then 90.3 had a cool set where they had a drumemr + DJ cracnking out beats. The first DJ was fine, but the room was too big for the number of people there (max 200 by end of the night). District 5 were too concerned with talking the whole time instead of actually performing which was really annoying. Finally Cascada showed up at 11. She was awesome and had great energy and stage prescence. That being said, she played for an hour only. I would not pay more than the $30 I did for the show, and unless I knew she was actually going to play a full set, I wouldn't see her again
