Cavetown Live in Concert

Born Robin Skinner in Oxford, United Kingdom, Cavetown is a project of the classically trained, Cambridge-based musician. Skinner rose to prominence in the music scene in the mid-2000s by developing a popular YouTube channel with ukulele-infused covers of pop music icons like Elvis Presley, Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, and Twenty-One Pilots. However, music was a crucial part of Skinner's life from the outset. By the age of 8, Skinner's father was named the Director of Music at Cambridge University. Skinner began recording original music in 2013 and founded the project Cavetown a year later, releasing self-written, self-recorded singles and albums almost immediately. Cavetown's first taste of commercial success came in 2015 with the hit single "This is Home." Cavetown went on to release their self-titled debut album later that year. Recently, Cavetown paired up with singer/songwriter and guitarist beabadoobee to create the recently released "Fall in Love with a Girl," which Cavetown described in a statement as being "about someone who's struggling with their sexuality and how that affects their happiness.

    Great show!!

The venue (History) was incredible! The shape of the room etc was conducive to the sound being really good. Everyone working there were super helpful. I have to use a cane and needed accessible seating and we were placed in an excellent spot with amazing sitelines! I will definitely be going back there for more shows!

What an incredible concert. My only concern is the requirement for proof of vaccination. The world has moved on and its about time we do too. Segregating people based on medical status is completely unacceptable !! But Cavetown was sooo good and the venue and staff were stellar.

    Amazing would see again

by Leesh on 2022-05-04History - Toronto

Honestly this show shocked me, but in a good way. My daughter is a fan and we surprised her for her birthday with tickets. The lineup was awesome and I will say I’ve become a fan of all 3:) what I loved the most though was how caring and thoughtful this event turned out to be. Free bottles of water were passed throughout the crowd for anyone who needed it. The show stopped when someone had fainted and in a very calming tone, cavetown addressed that this happens and to not panic. The whole atmosphere and vibe throughout the night was so comfortable. You could tell that everyone felt they belonged there and seemed to be having an amazing time. The bathrooms were gender neutral and everything was so inclusive which made it even more like we are all one of the same. It was fantastic! I’ve never been to a show like that and I only hope for many more like it.
