CHICAGO is still the one musical with everything that makes Broadway shimmy-shake: a universal tale of fame, fortune, and all that jazz, with one showstopping song after another and the most astonishing dancing you've ever seen.
In the whirlwind of Chicago's Jazz Age, two of the Cook County Jail's most notorious murderesses--vaudeville star Velma Kelly and chorus girl Roxie Hart--become fierce rivals as they compete for headlines amidst a media frenzy. Broadway's longest-running musical has been razzle dazzling audiences for 28 years, and after more than 10,000 performances, 6 Tony Awards®, 2 Olivier Awards, and a Grammy®, we're just getting started.
Come on, babe! Head to CHICAGO! We're hotter than ever.
Sat in the second row and well worth it. The show was amazing and would most definitely see it or other shows from the same group again!
The show was excellent. Great job by the cast and crew. The venue, however, isn’t great for something like this. We were expecting screens so you could see the show better from the upper bowl.
5,6,7,8...I have been a fan of Chicago since I saw the movie in 2002. I probably wore out the CD playing it! When I head the musical was coming to Moncton, I purchased tickets immediately. The musical did not disappoint. I loved every minute! The talent on stage (including lights and sound) was purely magnificent! What team work! I loved the plot twist near the ending. The tunes in this musical get into your head and stay there for days! "That's Chicago"
Unfortunately we had cheaper seats. I think some of the “umph” of the show was list not seeing the face expressions etc. my group of four all felt the lights were off. Orchestra was awesome.
The show was excellent, the cast perfect for the roles they played. I enjoyed it tremendously
The Chicago cast was amazing!! My daughter has been singing All That Jazz on repeat since we left the show. Such a talented touring group. Everything about the show was perfect. The venue was disappointing. These shows need to be in a theatre. The arena left so much to be desired. The stairways stayed lit up which took away from the stage. The event staff were talking to each other and guests during the show. The event staff did not hand out programs and when asked for them said they would find some and they would be available at intermission.
The performance was terrific. As the stage at the Avenir is small, and we were up quite high, it would have been nice to have had screens to enable us to 'see' the performers' faces. The sound system was very good. As it was our first time at this venue, we now know how to select better seats. We would return to the Avenir.
I’ve never attended a musical or even liked musicals until this year but wow I fell in love with Chicago and knew I had to see it live. The casting for each character was perfect. The singing and performances were perfect. And although it’s about a 3- 3 1/2 hour show, it didn’t feel like it was dragging out or boring. I enjoyed how it went from one song to the next with just enough dialogue to know what’s happening. 10/10
the show was a birthday gift for my dad and he loved it!! we both really enjoyed the show - acting, singing, dancing, set, props, etc, were all amazing!
Saw the one night performance of Chicago in London, Ontario. Loved every minute of it! The dancing and singing was just amazing! Very well done!
