About

Counting Crows are a Grammy and Academy Award-nominated rock band that have sold over 20 million albums worldwide. Behind popular singles “Mr. Jones” and “Round Here,” Counting Crows’ debut album August and Everything After (1993) sold 7 million copies and peaked at No. 4 on Billboard 200. The sorrowful, roots-driven vocals of singer Adam Duritz transcended the alt-rock charts with 1996’s Recovering the Satellites. Fueled by the success of “A Long December,” Recovering the Satellites reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200, cementing the Counting Crows as one of the greatest adult alternative artists of all time. In May 2025, the band will release their new album Butter Miracle, The Complete Sweets!

  • Counting Crows Disappointed

by Anonymous on 2016-09-07Sunlight Supply Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 2 out of 5

The concert was at a beautiful outdoor venue and luckily, the weather was great. Rob Thomas opened the show and put in a tight set which we really enjoyed. Then came the Counting Crows. They did not play one of their hits anytime during the first 9 or 10 songs. To the point that by the time they did, more than a third of the crowd left. Someone should let them know that fans want to hear what they know, so give them a taste early to keep them engaged. We left after they did a horrible "artistic" of Mr. Jones...terrible show and would NOT recommend seeing the Counting Crows, but definitely worth seeing Rob Thomas.

  • The Crows are amazing live

The counting crows are the type of band you can see year after year.

  • Counting Crows needs to tour more often

by ChrisZ on 2016-08-29Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Great show with some great talent, I only wish they toured more often.

  • Counting Crows & Rob Thomas, simply the best!

by kaitken on 2016-08-29Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing powerful performances, only wish Rob Thomas & K Phillips came on the stage at the end w the Crows!!

  • Rob Thomas was great, pass on the crows.

by Mediumfanofboth on 2016-08-29Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Rob Thomas did an amazing job interacting and getting the fans up on their feet. Played a variety of songs new, old, favorites. Lots of energy. Counting Crows were about average. Played mostly deep cuts, low energy, and felt bored at times. Adam often sings off key and in spoken word while sitting. I'd return to see Thomas or even Matchbox 20, but pass on Counting Crows.

  • Seems like he's bored of it

    by smd9 on 2016-08-29Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

I was expecting a fun show, but was let down a bit. It was alright, but there wasn't much amusing banter between the songs and they didn't sing some songs I expected. He told two stories about songs I had never heard before. Also wished happy birthday to one of the band members and they brought out a cake. That was probably the best "in between" moment. They didn't sing some of the favourites, like Accidentally in Love, Big Yellow Taxi, Round Here. He also changed how he sang Mr. Jones so we couldn't really sing along, which was disappointing. Seems like he's bored of touring and just doing it for the money now. At least Rob Thomas (who was opening for them) sang his hits like how we remember them.

  • Crows are AWFUL!

by Broseph on 2016-08-28Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5

This was an awful concert. The crows were just terrible. So disappointing. The worst set imaginable, they put in zero effort. He didn't even sing to Mr. Jones which would have been his last opportunity to save an otherwise disastrous affair. People were streaming out of the amphitheater after that last and final insult to the ticket purchasers...nobody wanted to stay after that. Rob Thomas must be embarassed to tour with these guys. 1 out of 10...just because they showed u

  • Rob Thomas and Counting Crows

by HAPW on 2016-08-27Molson Ampitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

What an amazing night of music at the Molson Ampitheatre. ROb Thomas never disappoints. A talented performer who shines every moment he is on stage. Only downside was he did not play long enough. I think many people did not realize that his set would start so early (725) as many seats were still empty and people were still arriving well past 8. This was our first time seeing the Counting Crows and they were outstanding. Had read several bad reviews prior to the show and after our experience can not understand where the disappointment came from. Adam gave a stellar performance and displayed his artistry in how he delivers his heartfelt and meaningful lyrics. Loved every moment of both of these shows.

  • Counting stars for the Crows

by Gooseberry on 2015-07-27Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

I heard and saw 5!!! Stellar show; Adam at his dynamic best-vocally and comedically (bonus!) - esp the joke about their beer cozies insp by moose procreating...oh yeah,.,.....Band smokin' - great sync with Adam. Dream concert - can't believe finally saw you guys live. Hope you'll be hangin' round here much more - come back and get your white hat at the door next time - Calgary tradition. Truth be told, our Mayor was seats over from us.

  • Crows were terrific

by JohnHOttawa on 2015-05-23National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

Adam Duritz is so talented, it's shocking for s first timer. We enjoyed the show thoroughly. Duritz made a point of saying that we should do whatever we want: sit stand dance what ever. It made everyone relax. The band was great, real pros. We walked right into them as they unloaded at their hotel and carried their own bags in. Regular guys. All we can say thank you. Best bday ever.

*** Awesome show! Will go back to see them anytime! ***

  • Nice show!

by Fran78 on 2015-05-20National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - OttawaRating: 4 out of 5

They played some good old songs, and some new ones. The show was nice, I really enjoyed it.

  • The Old, the New, the Loud, the Quiet, the Slim!

by UncleWallace on 2015-05-20National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

Old tunes did not get the 'casino best of medley' type of treatment. The new songs from Somewhere Under Wonderland were terrific and the lent to the momentum for the 2 hour show. Selected treats from Hard Candy, Recovering the Satellites, Saturday Nights . . . The Crows are a kick ass touring machine. Vibe is relaxed. This is not rocket science. This is escapism. This is what I paid for a drove 4 hours for and staying a prison hostel for. Saw them last in August past. Adam looks like a shed a few pounds, which has nothing really to do with anything. I do not smile as often as I once did, but for two hours every few months I get to smile.

  • The story telling of the Counting crows!

by ClostOttawa on 2015-05-20National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

Just a great show, opening band was talented but not that memorable. Adam and the boys did not miss a beat, got the whole crowd up and into the whole show.

  • What a great show... highly recommended!

by McVee on 2015-05-20National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

Counting Crows put on an excellent show. Their energy was genuine and infectious and the full house was drinking it up. Adam Duritz' stage banter made it seem like he was speaking to us directly... no "Hello Ottawa, put your hands together" stuff. It's nice to see a band assume that the audience is intelligent! They focused on interpreting their songs rather than reproducing the original recordings, and covered all of their most popular tunes with some deep album tracks and well-chosen covers. They were amazingly tight as a band, and each member had thier moments to shine. I went as a casual fan and left as a passionate one.

  • Outstanding

by Leganna on 2015-05-19Métropolis - MontrealRating: 5 out of 5

It's been far too long since the Counting Crows have come to Montreal. I hope that they come back again. They always give such an unforgettable performance!

  • Courting Crows Rocks Toronto

    by MusicFan1515 on 2015-05-18Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Totally mind blowing performance from the Crows! They know how to grab a hold of the audience and draw them into the music and the minds of the artists. As always Adam the lead singer captivated us with his signature sound and dancing. The sounds and lyrics take you to another place and really puts feeling in your heart. Guitar soles were breath taking! So much talent from all the members of the band on one stage at one time. They played a great mix of older songs and newer ones from their current album which was a nice change. I may be one sided as I've been a huge fan of Counting Crows for almost 20 years now. They always manage to amazing me with their deep and poetic lyrics always give me goose bumps. They also take it one step further and support local organizations helping in communities. They had one group there with their merchandise helping promote women's right and Adam made sure to inform the crowd about what they do and how important he felt it was. Don't get that at most concerts from other bands! I would highly recommend seeing them live if you are a fan you will not be disappointed at all. I will definitely be at their next concert!! Keep Rocking Counting Crows!!!

  • Horrible performance

    by The902guy on 2015-05-18Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5

I was very excited to see this show as the Counting Crows are an amazing band and Massey Hall is one of the best venues in Toronto. Unfortunately the lead singer seemed to be out of sync with the band and off in his own little world. His butchering of "Mr. Jones" was the ultimate of let downs. I'd never pay this amount to see these guys live again. While the band was fantastic, the lead singer really destroyed the show with his performance. Never again! :(

The concert was bad organized i bogth número de tikets and inside they did not respect the numeration, so i paid a spensive tiket to be stand and not seating in my place, the opening band sound and performance was awful, and i'm not being negativo or pesimist i usual y love all the concert here in Montreal but this one had everithing against, the performance of couting crows was ok, not incredible but ok, but i have to say that after being stand instead of seating in my place that pis off me over all the show
