Very well performed. Quickly put together and exceptional. Some mic problems but overall unforgettable.
One of the best concerts I have attended! So emotional, but at times we found ourselves smiling. Very well organized from the beginning to the end!
Huge thanks to ALL the performers and Country Thunder for the amazing night of fabulous music & healing! Unfortunate choice of MC that have tarnished an otherwise unforgettable event!!
The country singers sang awesome, crowd knew all their songs, crowd atmosphere was great, enjoyed seeing the pictures of the Humboldt Broncos Team members, comedians did good, and the NHL hockey players were awesome to see too!
The show was absolutely amazing and such a great tribute to the Bronco organization and families involved.. I especially liked that there was alot of emphasis on the first responders, hospital staff and all the support staff.. Our future son-in-law is with the Tisdale fire department who were the first fire department on scene, can't quite imagine the nightmare he saw..The Hunter Brothers had the best set, but all the artists were great. I'm not sure whose idea it was to have Williams and Ree MC the program. Yes they are funny in an off colour way; but this tribute was not the time or place. They were a negative distraction to the program and definitely didn't add to it. The tragedy that happened was in no way funny, amusing or anything to poke fun at. A big fat raspberry for them - I'm sure you could have found someone more appropriate.
Love country music so enjoyed every song that was sung. Very touching start with NHL players each bringing in a hockey stick. Biggest concern was amount of alcohol consumed and the back and forth constantly to get more
Beautiful healing words! Minus the racist comments
I attended because it was a fundraiser which I assume by the numbers made public was very successful. Attending this for me was a way to say to the grieving families, friends and associates of the Bronco players and staff, who lost their lives in this horrific accident that I care about you. That also goes for the players who will be dealing with some very difficult ongoing psychical challenges in the days ahead. On another note, however, being a father who has lost a son in an accident as horrific as the Bus-Semi collision, I feel it may not have offered much in the way of consolation to the grieving other than the fact that a large crowd did attend which said we are here because we care about you. The program itself was introduced as a possible time for "healing." but seemed, as it developed however, was more like a noisy party that was all about having a good time. Nothing wrong with having a good time at a concert but it didn't seem to "fit" the purpose of this concert.
This was definitely way more than a concert by 6 very talented artists. An excellent tribute to the Humboldt Broncos, and organized very well in a relatively short period of time. Only downside was the MC's. It is 2018 and this type of act should not be condoned anywhere! Especially at an event like this!
