About

Charismatic and unconventional, Danny Ocean is consistently rising to the expectations of his fans with his innovative music filled with everything from Reggaeton to Latin pop.

Born Daniel Morales in Caracas, Venezuela, Ocean developed a love for music from a young age. His father, a pianist and musician, significantly influenced his musical passion and growth. Ocean recalls that during childhood, he would tinker with sounds in his bedroom and try to learn as much as possible about creating music.

In 2009, Ocean emerged under the pseudonym Danny O.C.T. and self-produced several electronic music EPs. He gained a following on YouTube before moving to Miami, Florida, in 2015 as a way to escape Venezuela's bleak political and economic environment.

The 2016 song "Me Rehúso," about his girlfriend in Venezuela and feeling generally isolated and displaced, became an international sensation. While the song was slow to garner attention at first, it went viral and was streamed hundreds of millions of times online, resulting in a demand for a relaunch and an English version, "Baby I Won't." Since then, the song has reached 1.4 billion streams on Spotify, making Ocean the first Latin solo artist to hit 1 billion streams on the platform.

The massive success of "Me Rehúso" eventually culminated in Ocean's debut studio album, 54 + 1 (2019). True to the theme of unconventionality, Ocean released the album one track one day at a time, adding a virtual scavenger hunt for fans to access early releases.

Each song he released was entirely produced in his home studio, a testament to his musical vision. Every beat, note and instrument was chosen for a reason. Some songs took 30 minutes to complete, while others took days.

His second studio album, @dannocean (2022), deals with love in this increasingly digital world and critiques how communication has changed, leaving us more connected yet isolated.

It also saw Ocean collaborating with other artists and songwriters for the first time, including Guaynaa, Tini, Tokischa, Justin Quiles, and Dread Mar-I.

His technique and attention to detail are what make Danny Ocean such an innovative artist. He never stagnates, constantly reinventing himself with every new composition. There’s a surprise around every corner with Danny Ocean; something you won’t want to miss.
