Exceeded my expectations by a long shot

by DT on 2019-06-21Constellation Brands–Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center: CMAC - Canandaigua

I had really worked this concert up in mind expecting great things. When I do that it usually backfires on me. Not this time. The venue is great to see a show at, the sound and lighting was spot on but the music Dave and Tim are outstanding. I really feel Tim Reynolds is probably the most underrated guitarist on the planet, he really is up there with the Jimmies (Page and Hendrix). Dave was energized, so was the crowd on their feet for the whole performance. Really I can not say enough about how awesome this show was.

    Missing DMB

    by Saddened2017 on 2017-04-05Molson Ampitheatre - Toronto

Going to be missing DMB as one of our regular summer outings here in Canada this summer. Understandable that this magnificent band need a little slow down time. We have seen them several times and always walk away in awe of the energy in every performance. See you soon Dave and please don't forget TO in your next tour

    Dave and Tim never disappoint

    by LouS on 2015-01-26Paramount Theatre-Oakland - Oakland

Dave and Tim were perfect in every way. They sounded amazing and Dave was telling some pretty funny stories. This was my third time seeing just Dave and Tim together and it was my favourite to date!

    Best Acoustic You Can See

by reganlaney on 2012-07-26Constellation Brands–Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center: CMAC - Canandaigua

This is one of many concerts I've been to at CMAC and although the logistics getting in and out of the venue/parking are not the best, the facility itself is at the top of my list for WNY. Dave and Tim: unbelievable and unforgettable!! Set list was the AWESOME. Sound quality at this venue is second to none in the area. Thrilled to add this to the list of Dave shows I've attended. So happy CMAC landed this act and can not wait to see them again and again.

Flaming Guitarists Spread Warmth In Seattle

    by bayoubunny66 on 2010-12-14McCaw Hall - Seattle

Dave Matthews, shedding his ensemble in favour of his favourite flemenco-influenced sideman, performed a memorable charity gig in a frigid city that soon lost its slushy mantle when the hot licks started to fly. The trophy wives of the many millionaires in attendence found that their finery paled before the many jewels produced on the stage. Dave, who of course cultures a "man of the people" look and often performs at inhospitable grunge-fests, seemed quite at home in the acoustically-perfect setting and spoke briefly about each song while Tim wiped the rivers of sweat off his own, and his guitar's, neck. Why Tim Reynold's fingers don't burst into flames during his fast but subtle nuanced performances is an enduring mystery. The audience was on their feet repeatedly, sometimes in tears. Dave has a magical ability to touch both the disaffected youth in everyone and the cold hearts of the power brokers. He may have taken the crown from Springsteen and the ever more jokey Dylan.

    Dave Matthews TIm Reynolds

by Anonymous on 2010-12-11McCaw Hall - Seattle

This show was amazing! Just Dave and TIm with their guitars. The play list was perfect. Dave was very interactive with the audience, which made the show seem really intimate, like a small venue. My only complaint was it ended too soon (even though they played for about 2 1/2 hours!) The fact that it was a charity concert put it over the edge as one of his best shows. Dave never disappoints and Tim is an equally amazing musician.
