About

Death Bells on Tour

The sulky post-punk-ladened band, Death Bells, are currently on their 2022 world tour. Forming in Sydney, Australia, in 2014 the group's sound has been described anywhere from alternative rock to dream pop. Following the release of their third album, Between Here & Everywhere (2022), Death Bells will be performing in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Denmark, and many other countries throughout Europe. Originally consisting of Maurice Santiago, Will Canning, Aron Postolovic, and Remy Veselis, the band has since formed into a duo with only Canning and Veselis at the helm. Death Bells' unique underground garage rock sound resonates with fans around the globe. After releasing their first single in 2015, "You, Me & Everyone In Between," the band landed gigs opening for Gold Class and Gangs of Youth across the East Coast of Australia. They released their first full-length album, Standing at the Edge of the World, in 2017, which featured the songs "Days," "Something Above" and "Nothing Changes." Their next album, New Signs of Life, was released in 2020 with popular tracks like "Heavenly Bodies" and "Sacred." This current tour is their first one since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Death Bells Live in Concert

Like many groups, Death Bells began writing music in one of the members' families' basement. Reminiscent of the band's eerie sound, the group was named after the South Korean horror film, Death Bell. Death Bells are currently operating under the Dais Records Label. Although, morose in tone, Death Bells' member Will Canning stated, "The darker element of the music and lyrics are present, but that's just one facet of our lives. We're generally happy people." Perhaps not the most mainstream, the band still attains a strong underground cult following with over 30,000 monthly Spotify listeners.
