Captivating and deep with lots to chew on. You really needed deepak backgrOund and I was glad that I had it.
Too much reading from slides. Lights in the ceiling of the room at the shaw were annoying. The tickets I had were exremely expensive and when we got to the event it seemed as though there may have been some pre event reception, with Deepak, at 5:30 pm that I did not know about. Pre event wasn't referenced when I purchased the ticket nor was there mention of it on my receipt. All it said was VIP on my ticket - but it did not say what VIP meant. I assumed that to mean the best seats possible. Extremely disappointed.
Too indepth all the way through. Too many slides. Not the same dynamic we see on TV.
the first half Deepak discusses quantum physics in layman terms, transfer of energy and molecules, semi-deep stuff. i like it but it may have been a little intense for my mom who i took. the second half Deepak had us all meditate then guided us through some exercises. Excellent. we all learned how we can influence our body. if your friend is happy, that will increase the chance you will be happy. if your friend's friend is happy, your chance of being happy increases once again. if your friend's friend's friend is happy, your chance of being happy increases even more.
Due to some last minute arranging, our seats were relocated to the extreme far right corner of the hall, barely able to see the great man. The staff left the radio on so throughout the lecture, you could hear the radio playing. This was especially disturbing during the meditation practice. From our view, the large screen Dr Chopra used for his slides was not visible.
It was really, really good! He was very accessible as a speaker and very engaging. He was humourous too - and we had many a chuckle. This is important to me in speakers - the ability to make me laugh! I was afraid that it might be anti-climactic but it was not - I would go see him again in a heart beat - of course, with different subject matter!
Phenomenal. Always in awe to be in the presence of my guru.
