Originating as The Tennessee River Boys in the 80s, the band evolved into Diamond Rio in 1989. In 1990, they signed with Arista Nashville, and in 1991, with the release of "Meet in The Middle," became the first country music group in history to reach No. 1 with a debut single. The band is also known for their hits "How Your Love Makes Me Feel," "One More Day," "Beautiful Mess," "Unbelievable," and more. Selling over 6.8M albums and surpassing 1.05B global streams, the band has charted 20 Top 10 singles, 15 Top 5 singles, and seven No. 1 singles. Known for playing every note on every album throughout their career, the band's unwavering commitment to their craft is evident in their instrumental tracks "Big," "Appalachian Dream," and "Poultry Promenade." • Diamond Rio was good

The show was good. The vocals sounded good and the band can still harmonize which of course is part of their distinctive sound. However, I was disappointed that the band only played for 70 minutes. In the middle of the show the band played a medley of some of their songs rather than playing the whole song. A bit of a cheap out in my opinion. I expect at least 90 minutes of entertainment from a headliner. Overall a good show but I was left wanting a bit more.

  • Diamond Rio still entertaining and sounding great

They covered old and new stuff, added some very timely solo instrumentals to feature the group. Harmony still there, energy still there. The set of Bluegrass style rock and roll was super .............saw them in Idaho in March and this show was similar but not without some unique moments.

An excellent show, a lot of bang for the buck. Very professional and polished.

I enjoyed the show very much I have seen Diamond Rio perform at Countryfest a few years ago and have been a fan for years. It was neat to be able to see them perform so close up. A couple of songs had me in tears especially I Believe and One More Day.

  • somewhat disappointed

I was so excited to see diamond rio, but it seems they were not very excited to be here. maybe that the average age of the concert goers was late 60,s but the sound was also off the bass guitar was too loud and overall i was not happy with the preformance. they cut down their main songs to one verse with the exception of 3 or four, and sang ols western songs and 70's songs, but what we paid for was to hear our favorites. i left feeling that i should have saved my money and stayed home

It was a wonderful show. Very entertaining with lots of great songs. At various points during the show they throw guitar picks into the audience.

  • Diamond Rio - Superb show!

by GramaSue on 2010-03-12Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 5 out of 5

Loved it, loved it, loved it! These guys definitely do not disappoint. It was a fabulous, very enjoyable show. They played the old ones [my faves] and some new ones, which were also really good. Some fabulous guitar playing [and banjo!] The one I was looking forward to the most "One More Day" brought tears to my eyes. I always think of my Mom [gone almost ten years now] when I listen to this song, and I sung the words along with them, and thought of her again. Such a beautiful song! Thank you, Diamond Rio, for that very special moment. Pretty funny to have the band taking pictures of the audience and then posting the pics on Twitter! I've never seen that before, but it made it all the more personal for the people in the front rows. All in all, a great show. I would recommend them to anyone!

  • Diamond Rio - Fantastic!

by RapsChick on 2010-03-12Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 5 out of 5

This was a fantastic concert for any Diamond Rio fan - old and new. A good mix of old and new hits as well as a few brand new songs from the new cd 'The Reason'. After 20 years these guys still sound amazing and the instrumental work was unreal! My only complaint is that it was too short! I will definitely be seeing Diamond Rio again!

  • DIAMOND RIO WERE SPARKLING

The Diamond Rio concert was really great! Casino Rama in Orillia is a great venue for this type of concert. The music had a great mix of older tunes, and new ones. Like the Christian material added from the new CD coming out. Good luck on the Dove awards. They truly deserve it. Great guitar, banjo, drums, and piano playing! A group of talented people here.
