Not worth the money to look at a few dinosaurs and pay extra for the kids to slide down one "bouncy" slide and sit on a moving dinosaur.
I am not going to say that my daughter did not enjoy this event, because she did. But I do not feel that it was worth the money that we spent for her and my husband to go. Thankfully, we did not buy tickets for our entire family. The setup of the event was not optimal and buying the unlimited package was a disappointment when you had to wait in such long lines to get to go again. We only did one turn at each thing to be fair to others in lines waiting but there were people who just kept letting their kids go again and again while others were waiting. The mini golf looked like something I could have made myself in my backyard. Overall, this was not a worthwhile event for the money charged.
This event was a total rip off. I would not recommend spending your money on this. Spend your money to take your children somewhere they will actually enjoy.
This was a horrible event full of run down attractions and sad disappointed children. Paying the extra for the plus ticket was also a joke because nobody checked them and you still had to pay extra for tickets to do most of what was there.
I'm sorry to say I was very disappointed with this show. First of all way to expensive. Paid for the plus ticket and found out had to pay extra for some of the other events. This show is more catered to little kids. I bought my 11 year old and he was to big to ride on the dinosaurs not to mention they were no big deal. The mini golf and the other games upstairs we're very disappointing. My son and I were out of there in 45 mins and that included sitting and having a snack.
Not worth the money .. You had to try to read everything to the kids or they would only see th exhibits, which once you went past the main entrance there was nothing left to see. Bounce slides you can get anywhere. Again there were only two. The fossil dig was sold out .... really? Then on to the "rides" ... what a joke. Two lame dinosaurs that were like toddler rides, no timers on them , so some kids rode for 10 minutes others rode for 5 and so on. 40 minute wait to ride. The advertisements said the dulux package of $ 22 per kid .. that kids (I took my 3 grandkids) could ride as many times as they wanted. But believe me no kid asked for more. And one truly horrible observation was that one of the native men had been drinking and smelt like a brewery. I am shocked that no one was .. hurt that I know of. This was truly a disappointment and embarrassment for Prince George and the CN Centre. It will be a long time before I waste money for events at CN Centre again .. I also attended Jason Aldean ' s show last month ... another disappointment. . The sound system or acustic was horrible .. if you didn't know the beat to the songs you would have never known what they were singing. Fights broke out .. unbelievable
Though the displays were really well done and looked amazing, there should be a more interactive way of learning about the dinosaurs besides reading some plaque. The rides and extras were where this event fell very short. The rides are in need of major repairs and a creative overhaul. More staff supervision would be beneficial as well. My kids had fun and that is what counts but we won't be back.
This event was a complete waste of money. Spent the extra money for my son to go on the rides. Which was a bouncy castle he got to go through once and a dinosaur ride that looked like a mall ride that we didn't even go on because the line up was crazy. Had to spend extra money to pan for bones or gold. There were maybe 6-7 dinosaurs to walk through. This was a very disappointing event. Even my son said that was lame.
The exhibit itself was really cool, and the information was neat. Did not like how they set-up the gift shop in the middle made a major bottle neck for the kids to get on the rides and the bouncy castle. Overall was pretty good for the price
complete and utter waste of time and what a money grab. Only suitable for children under perhaps 6 or 7, a lot of money for not much of anything, everything else costs extra.
Discover the Dinosaurs was neat and good for little kids (10 and under), but cost way too much for what you get. My kids spent 90% of the time on the slides, but we can do that here for $15 rather than $100. We went in the evening so no line ups, but I'd heard it was crazy busy, long line ups for slides & rides during the day. We could've done the whole thing in 45 minutes or less. Little kids liked it, but cost way too much for what you get. If I knew what it was really like I wouldn't have bothered. Which I could get my $100 back.
Just a big money grab! A few cool dinosaurs and the rest is just trying to get you to buy stuff. Lines are too long for any fun stuff you pay extra for and they aren't that fun!! my kids (2 &4) wanted to leave!
Awful. You walk through moving dinosaurs for 2 minutes, then you get to the area for "Plus" ticket holders. Don't waste your time and money on this "option," either. I paid for the Plus and one of my two kids got to slide down a bouncy castle once. Lineups were too long for the baby Dino rides (cheaper in a mall, anyway) and the panning area costs extra on top of this. We made a 3 hour trip to see this, and for $100 (family of four,) it was a disappointment.
