by Yamaha on 2011-12-13MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 3 out of 5

Disney could be slipping , have seen better productions and this one was ok due to the ticket prices were good. Show was short even my kids commented about different stories not long enough..........

  • Disney Live nice performance poor location!

by Kryst on 2011-12-13MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

This show was a great storyline. The downside is that it was not held in a concert hall. I was 12 row on the floor and my little girls could not see the performance due to taller adults. I checked the view from the stands and it wasn't great as this was an onstage performance and the actors did not have a stage that extended out on the floor. Poor location for parents and children to enjoy. Would have been awesome in the concert hall.

  • Show was well done.

    by Mayday18 on 2011-12-13MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 3 out of 5

The show was well done and my kids really enjoyed what they had seen of it. It would be the perfect show for little girls everywhere. Make sure you have good seats though!!! Unfortunately our seats were not good. In my opinion the area where we purchased tickets for this show shouldn't be sold in the future especially if there is a deep set stage with a curtain. My children were constantly asking "Whats happening now?" and o course i have no answer because I can't see either.

  • Three Classic Fairy Tales

I took my 3 year old granddaughter to this performance. She was just mesmerized by the costumes and the music. She especially enjoyed seeing Mickey and Minnie. We had excellent seat in the first row of section 120. Could not have been a better location. Disappointing that we could not take pictures.

  • A Magical Event!!

    by Mallory11c on 2011-12-13MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

It was truly a magical event! The costumes, narration, sound and visual effects were over the top! I really enjoyed this production. The Disney characters were wonderful and kept my nephew who is not quite 3 yet very entertained! If I did have to comment on the negative side I would say that Beauty and the Beast isn't that great of a fairy tale. It didn't have the magical feel of the two previous fairy tales. I enjoyed that one the least. Also I found the slushie's were ridiculously expensive ($12 each), in fact all the novelty items were really overpriced, and it was disappointing that they would try to ding you with an item that you can purchase in walmart for an eighth of the price. Although my nieces and nephew had the cotton candy each, which came with a plastic crown, a slushie each, lighted sword ($22) and then had to each have a toy from the booth on the way out. I guess its all part of being an auntie! haha

  • floor seating doesn't work for young kids

by tuliplights on 2011-12-13MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 2 out of 5

I took my two girls and my niece to see the show. You would think that with row 9 tickets we would have great seats. Not at all. There was a group of tall adults in front of us and none of the kids could see, We ended up with children kneeling on our laps. For over $50 a ticket it certainly wasn't worth it. The show itself was okay. Not very long. I didn't feel we really got our money worth. If you are given tickets to the show - especially if you are on the sides, go but don't spend much to see this. I'll be taking my daughter to see Beauty and the Beast musical. The cost difference is little and the show is supposed to be spectacular.

  • For girls only

It would have been nice to have at least one boy theme like maybe Peter Pan.

  • Three Classic Fary Tales Captivated my Daughter

by PennyPup on 2011-12-13MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 3 out of 5

My Daughter thoroughly enjoyed her evening!! We were sitting in section 203 which did not allow for a good view of the stage at all times. We did miss out on some of the fairy tale, Couldn't see the Queen when she was speaking to the magic mirror. We also couldn't see half of the mirror. This happened for a few of the scenes. When pruchasing these tickets online the appearance of the stage and our seats did not indicate there would be any obstructions. I was very dissapointed with this as I did purchase 8 tickets and would have selected a different section so that we could enjoy the entire production.

  • Great show for kids

by lovhug on 2011-12-13MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

Show was great. Everything was well done and kids really seemed to enjoy it. We had perfect seats. Just wish I had thought of having my daughter wear her Cinderella costume and tiara. I felt under-dressed :) I will know better for next time.

  • Fun

by Roybhoy on 2011-12-13MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 3 out of 5

Took our 3 year old grand daughter who was ecstatic when she saw the main characters, Goofy, Donald, Minnie and Mickey. She lost a little bit of interest in the latter part of the show and got a bit restless, however she is young and over all enjoyed it. We were sitting on the side and there was poor visibility when things were going on at the corner of the stage at our side.... stage needs to be more open, I even saw people moving to another section in order to see... Also not sure if there needs to be an intermission, its not like its that long and the kids just get restless..

  • DIsney Live was disappointing!

    by hockeyguy33 on 2011-12-13MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 1 out of 5

Spent considerable money to take my family to see this event. We were expecting much more. My son ended up reading his book instead, while my daughter, who normally loves disney, wasn't very interested either. I'm not sure what age group this would appeal to, since the young kids were often terrified at times while the older kids were bored.

  • Much good.

by cede on 2011-12-13MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 3 out of 5

As always, Disney does a great job of bringing their magic to life. My sons actually found some of the play quite scary (no more than the movie itself, however). The finale was gorgeous! There were two main drawbacks: The merchandise stands are hard to keep the kids from (we did with tears) and the prices are robbery. $25 for stuffed toys that are $5.00 at Disney Shopping Online. The other drawback it that staff at the show warned us to not take pictures. I have no idea why you would be asking for a photo when is apparently prohibited?

  • Three Classic Fairy Tales too much for little one

    by kdb007 on 2011-12-13MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 2 out of 5

The show was magical and a marketing genius production. It was too loud, very frightening for little ones and really just an expensive 'read' of a few of the tales. (she's 4)

This was a great show! My niece and sister loved it and I would love to see them come back!

  • Great show!

by bronzeaunty on 2011-12-13Credit Union Centre - SaskatoonRating: 4 out of 5

The performance was great. I took my 2.5year old niece. She got scared by the witch from Snow White, and again by the beast. Which I thought was strange because she loves the movies. When she was scared we would get up and look at the amazing selection of souvenirs. The show was magical, the costumes were great, the music was great. Definitely something I would take my nieces to again. I, myself, really enjoyed it, haha.

  • my family enjoyed it
