Great show!
by Leslie101 on 2009-11-26Pacific Coliseum - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5I went with my daughter and her 2 friends with their moms. We were there right at 6:30 pm when the doors opened and went to see the pre-show. I expected to see only the princess dresses but was pleasantly surprised to see 2 princesses all dressed up on stage. We took pictures of the girls with the princess and looked at the other dresses with accessories - Ariel, Snow White, etc. The girls enjoyed it. The show then started with Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofey. Mater came out first from Cars, then all the other character leading up to LIghting McQueen. The kids were all excited when the cars came out but honestly, cars can't really do much but drive around so it got a bit slow. I did love the "Life is a Highway" song. The Cars segment was only about 10 minutes. Ariel was next and it was fantastic. All the great songs and the skating was great! The stage was really well done. We got to see Sebastian, the Sea Witch, and Eric. Song: "Under the Sea" "Part of Your World" "Kiss the Girl" , etc. Lion King was next and it was also amazing. Went through the story line of Simba "I Just Can't Wait to be King". Then Scar's song. The stampede scene was very well done. Mufasa was only in that scene - only to die at the end so you don't get to hear "the voice". "Can You Fell the Love Tonight", "Cirle of LIfe". Intermission of about 15 minutes. Then Tinker Bell. The show basically went through the story line. There was a lot of conversation and there were a couple of songs. I think the show slowed down a bit for Tinker Bell because it's not a show that has a lot of song which gets the crowd going. I watched the movie a couple of times with my daughter, so she knew who everyone were so I think she really enjoyed it, although I could tell from her face she wasn't as excited as during the first part of the show. Overall, it was great! We went the opening 2 for 1 night, so the tickets came to $12 each, and with all the fees added, it came to $38 for 2 people. I don't think I would pay $80 for 2 people for the show - well maybe. But at $38, my expectations were definitely met and the kids had a ball! Parking is $10 on site.
