About

DR SEUSS' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS! THE MUSICAL is the record-setting Broadway sensation which features the hit songs "You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch" and "Welcome Christmas" from the original animated television special. Max the Dog narrates as the mean and scheming Grinch, whose heart is "two sizes too small," decides to steal Christmas away from the Holiday loving Whos. Magnificent sets and costumes inspired by Dr. Seuss' original illustrations help transport audiences to the whimsical world of Whoville, as this sparkling production breathes new life into this timeless story of the true meaning of Christmas. Don't miss what The New York Times calls "AN EXTRAORDINARY PERFORMANCE! 100 times better than any bedtime story."

  • A joyful family show

It was amazing from start to finish the cast was fantastic the costumes were very well done and the grinch was so funny and at one point in the show even had me crying. This was my first show that I ever seen and it sure won’t be my last. How the grinch stole Christmas was brilliantly done and if you get a chance to see it, I promise you, you won’t regret it.

  • Good but where they held it could have been better

The play was amazing loved it. We have issues with the place they showed it wish us would have been in a different location, in a proper theatre. Other than location we loved it.

  • Thoroughly Enjoyable Show

Very enjoyable show, good original music and love the fact that the song from the original Grinch was well featured and interactive for the kids. Drawback was no intermission and for children, sitting through 90 minutes is a difficult task. Also felt that there were certain scenes that could have had better settings and props. Acting was great, as well as the costumes.

Inter actions with audience were the best. Extra songs were different and a good point of view from Max

  • A great time and a fun memory

I bought tickets for my 2 nieces, my Mom and myself. It was a very good production that stuck to the story line better than many adaptations. My biggest disappointment was that Max was black and white then as he aged grey and white - when he is brown in any show or book that I have ever seen. We watch the Grinch every year and he is one of my two favourite characters. The colour's of the costumes were otherwise wonderful and whimsical. The set was stunning with all the sparkles and lights. The scene at the fireplace with the stocking hung by the chimney etc popped right out like they did in the cartoon or book versions. The actors and actresses were wonderful with their lines, their moves and their singing. My nieces are 5 and 11 and my Mom is 80 and we all loved it. Thank you for bringing this production to London and also for the package deal for 4 so we could all go.

We absolutely loved the Grinch! It had us laughing, singing and smiling throughout the entire performance. We would recommend this for all ages, it's hilarious!

  • Very cute and nostalgic

Loved the play, especially the young actress who played Cindy Lou Who. The only downside to sitting in the upper level centre stage was the 3 times the bright lights shone right in our faces and the strobe lights (though I know the latter was definitely for play effect).
