Eliades Ochoa Tickets

The second best thing! The first was the Buena Vista Social Club concert in Montreal a few years ago... This time, great tickets, second row, dead centre. Can't ask for more ;-) very reasonnable price too. Thanks for the memories :)

It was like jumping in a warm bath (un bano caliente)........Eliades Ochoa and his band gave us everything we hoped for; I always loved the Buena Vista Social Club and overall I love Cuban music. On several occasions I have been to Havana and I go a few times a year to Marea del Portillo and Pilon town to visit my friends, who are musicians themselves. I was very happy with his song choice and although somebody on occasions shouted for Dos Gardenias, it is obvious that that is not Eliades his song choice. The ambiente was there and for me, he could have gone on for another couple of hours! Let's hope Eliades Ochoa will visit Canada on more occasions and I will be sure to sit in the front (or second) row again!

A great band led by Cuban music legend sounded terrible because of the acoustic of the venue. Opening act was too long and did not match the main show.

They made it look easy but Eliades and his 8 person band delivered masterful show of traditional Cuban music. Songs included songs made famous by Buena Vista Social Club's like Chan Chan, Candela and El Cuarto de Tula and then there were many more! The solos and the jams were awe inspiring! By the end of the night everyone in the sold out theatre was on their feet dancing!

Excellent. I wanted to add something. Of you do a concert in Mongtreal, why do't have someone who ca translated to Frencg? Of course, I'm spansih native speaker, but the majority of the people there don't understand spanish. I hope they'll return next time.

Awesome music and show. Many of the Buena Vista Social Club favourites but all of the music was great. He is an accomplished musician and songwriter and the band was very professional.

My friend and I really enjoyed the evening, the opening act was good, but once Elaides and band got going, it was electric.

I loved the music. I liked the venue. I just wish they annouced the winner of the cuba trip draw live as they indicated. Also, I wish there was a translator for all non-Spanish speaking people who did not understand what Mr. Ochoa was talking about.

A great performer with a more than capable backing band in a gem of a venue.
