We got a lot of background on Frank but not much on Ella. And I think most of the music was by Frank. I prefer the songs accompanied by a small band or even just a piano and found the whole orchestra a bit overwhelming.
It was a wonderful evening - lots of soul and fun! The singers were very talented as was the orchestra! Perfect combination!
The orchestra was amazing. As usual, the orchestra was at the top of their game. Capathia was excellent. Tony was very good. Tony is a very good piano player. The show was good, but should have been called the Frank show with some songs by Ella. I was disappointed that there was no scatting, or very little for which Ella was famous for doing. Also, as a huge fan of Ella, the song that were chosen must have been those that were never released.
One of the best pops concerts i've seen. "Frank" and "Ella" were amazing singers
The music in the first part of the show was so loud that we couldn’t hear the singers, but the second part was great. We would have liked to hear more songs from the 60’s and 70’ as opposed to less familiar ones from the 50’s. However, overall we enjoyed the show.
The Ella and Frank concert.was an amazing experience all around. The singing, stories, and music were all outstanding.
