New-age recording icon Enya has been enthralling audiences around the world for more than three decades with her unique blend of Celtic influences, densely layered vocals, and hauntingly beautiful synths. Her celestial compositions often evoke the spiritual, and fans lucky enough to experience ethereal tracks like “Storms in Africa” and “Only Time” in concert are consistently left in awe. Despite her worldwide popularity Enya rarely plays concerts, making rumors of an upcoming album and tour all the more exciting for her legions of devoted fans.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
 
Enya Brennan was born to a musical Irish family in 1961. She joined her family’s band Clannad in 1980 and performed with them for two years before leaving to launch her solo career. Her unique blend of Celtic and new-age music gained wider exposure in 1987 after she provided the soundtrack for the popular BBC documentary series The Celts – the show’s soundtrack doubled as her self-titled studio debut and went on to sell more than four million copies. Budding success quickly gave way to full blown superstardom as her 1988 sophomore album Watermark topped charts around the world, producing her first international No. 1 with the ubiquitous hit single “Orinoco Flow (Sail Away)”. Over the next two decades she became new-age music’s undisputed queen with critically and commercially successful albums like Shepherd Moons (1991), A Day Without Rain (2000), and Amarantine (2005). Despite being one of the top-selling artists of all time Enya has never done an official tour, making the rare opportunity to see her in concert the holy grail of new-age music.
