  • Meh

    by H. R. on 2021-10-26SaskTel Centre - SaskatoonRating: 1 out of 5

We love Eric Church, but this concert was a bit of a downer. The reason: the sound system. His first few songs was just him and his guitar and the sound was pretty good. However, when the rest of the band started (too many guitars), the sound deteriorated tremendously. It was WAY TOO LOUD. And we aren't even old! The sound was distorted and was like a heavy rock concert, not a country concert. The musicians were playing over each other and it was like they were competing; but worst of all, it sounded like Eric Church had to try and sing over all of the instruments. And it honestly became a lot of noise. We were going to bring our teenagers with us to the concert, glad we didn't, they wouldn't have liked the sound. We have been to SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon before, for a concert (Lumineers, Kaleo, Susto) and the sound was absolutely amazing! We expected the same sound quality and were very disappointed. Especially for $180 per ticket! Sound Technicians are not what they used to be. Now people just want loud I guess.

  • Life felt normal again.

    by James S on 2021-10-26SaskTel Centre - SaskatoonRating: 5 out of 5

Phenomenal show and atmosphere. For 3 hours life felt normal for the first time in 2 years.

  • Concert was amazing..logistics after, sucked

by Lj on 2021-10-26SaskTel Centre - SaskatoonRating: 4 out of 5

Eric church did not disappoint. It was all about the experience of feeling normal again. High energy and lots of fun. However the logistics after the concert was an utter fail. Sasktel centre did not care about the freezing temperatures, the sheer lack of transportation for leaving AT ALL! People were fighting, and scrambling for cabs and the lack of disrespect was chaotic. I will never cab it there again

  • No process

    by Kevin T on 2021-10-26SaskTel Centre - SaskatoonRating: 4 out of 5

Concert was great but started late because lineups to enter were so long. We pre-cleared the COVID testing two days earlier but had to wait in the same line as everyone else who had to show they were vaccinated. There was zero benefit to pre-clearing. There should have been a shortcut line for those that pre-cleared.

  • Eric amazing. Sasktel centre thumbs down.

by Carrie bechard on 2021-10-26SaskTel Centre - SaskatoonRating: 3 out of 5

Eric church was amazing! Loved him. The venue was garbage. Line ups for miles outside in cold and wind to get in. Line up for miles to get a drink. Hour and a half late concert because of people being stuck outside. So unorganized. Get it together Sasktel centre.

  • Eric Church didn't disappoint!

    by Rhoni S on 2021-10-26SaskTel Centre - SaskatoonRating: 5 out of 5

He was fabulous!! The best part of the concert, was his stage. Every seat was a great seat when the stage is set up in the middle with the huge screens on every side. Getting in to the Sasktel building, took time but went smoothly. Was so happy to know you had to show your QR code, or proof of a negative covid test. Eric waited to start show till most of the lineup outside was through, which was considerate, being we haven't had a concert for 2 yrs. Would definitely pay to see him again!

  • AWESOME!!!

by Kerry on 2021-10-26SaskTel Centre - SaskatoonRating: 5 out of 5

Eric Church concert was amazing. He's a great artist to begin with but the atmosphere and crowd participation was great. SaskTel Centre staff were efficient in bringing in 13,000 fans having to check vaccination records, wristbands, tickets, security scans and monitoring mask wearing. I felt very safe despite what is going on in Saskatchewan right now. It was a very enjoyable night. Thanks SaskTel Centre for bringing Eric Church to Saskatoon and having trust in the fans to keep the event safe and enjoyable!!

  • Honestly underwhelmed

by Vic on 2021-10-26SaskTel Centre - SaskatoonRating: 2 out of 5

I was so excited for the first concert in way too long. Loved the safety measures in place before entering. Found the overall concert to be boring, I’ve been to Eric church in the past and it was much better. His set was boring. The safety measures at the end were kind of chaotic and trying to leave the building was chaotic. Overall disappointed in the concert…

  • Great Concert

by KDP on 2021-10-26SaskTel Centre - SaskatoonRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was phenomenal. Eric played 2 and a half hours straight through.

by Ccprez on 2021-10-26SaskTel Centre - SaskatoonRating: 5 out of 5

Eric Church NEVER disappoints!! Talent, intensity, passion! 7th time seeing him and can’t wait to go again! An artist who shows how grateful he is for his fans! Incredible band too! ….watching Eric sing with Joanna Cotten is always just so amazing! 😎👏👏👏

  • Probably the best concert I’ve ever been to

by Sylvia on 2021-10-26Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

No opener. No breaks. He played for 2hrs 40min straight. Unbelievable!!! The man is a machine! Nobody beats Eric Church shaking it in those jeans all night. I’ve been to a pile of shows (yes, a pile!) and it was probably the best concert I’ve been to.

  • Eric Church brought everything to the stage that night.

by No words to truly describe this concert on 2021-10-26Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Eric Church put on a show like no other. Just when you thought he would take a break, he brought on more and performed even harder than you can imagine. While acoustics in the Saddledome need desperate upgrades, his voice was as strong as if he was performing in a recording studio. Amazing Church experience!!

  • Best concert all year

by Hailz on 2021-10-25Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

11/10 music, beers, friendship. All over the best night all year.

  • Eric F*cking Church

by Charlee on 2021-10-25Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

Church put on a good show as usual. Saddledome needs improvement with line ups...could use beer tubs on the floor to prevent line ups on concourse and entry to the floor. Open bathrooms for the floor ticket holders as well. So much time wasted in line ups.

  • The best!!

by Dee on 2021-10-25Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Was great seats. Great show. Can’t say enough. I travel to lots of concerts at lots of venues and this one shot to #1 !!!!!!

  • A good concert but definetly a few missteps by Mr. Church

by KennyK on 2021-10-25Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 3 out of 5

The first time I saw Eric Church was at the Calgary Stampede at Nashville North back in ~2007. Yes I knew he was going to be a big star and he has followed through for the most part with exceptional songwriting, album production, vocals, generally a great personality and an artist I respect very much. My two disappointments from the concert on Oct 22, 2021 in Calgary are that he started the concert 1 hour late (was supposed to be 8 pm and he started at 9 pm) and when he did start he played 30 min's without the band and it was just him and an acoustic guitar. Nowadays most concerts start on time or within the 15 minutes of the quoted start time. Yes I agree back in the 80's bands got away with being 1 hour late but nowadays I think it's disrespectful to the fans to be more than 30 minutes past your quoted start time. So after we waited 1 hour for him to get on stage he then proceeded to play 30 minutes without the band and just him and an acoustic guitar. Yes EC can carry himself very well in this type of scenario and trust me I love it when artists do the acoustic solo set for 3-4 songs at a concert but most of the arena and 18,000 fans had been waiting 1 hour for him to get on stage so the momentum did not lend itself to an intimate, acoustic starter set. He needed to come on with the full band, loud and strong as we had all been waiting 1 hour for him. An experienced, professional artist such as EC should of known this dynamic with live concerts. Yes he said he was playing homage to the last concert he played in Calgary where it got snowed in and he had to play a full acoustic broke down set - okay you could of started with that idea IF you would of STARTED ON TIME!!! Or he could of played 1 song as a solo acoustic and rolled into a rocking band set. As well, by him starting late many people continued to drink heavily until he showed up with many of the fans getting obnoxiously drunk and rude - yes I get that it creates a rowdy fan base which is great for the performer but it seemed like it went a bit far. Eric you're a country star and I will always love your music but this concert made me question whether I'll go see it live again or just enjoy it out of my speakers.

  • Great Concert

by Charlie on 2021-10-25Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Loved the Eric Church concert in Calgary - the stage layout, the way they played to the crowd. It was the best concert to get back to "normal" with.

  • Amazing as always!

    by H. J. on 2021-10-25Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Eric Church never fails to impress. The concert was suppose to begin at 8pm but due to Covid Screening (which was appreciated), he delayed the start to 9pm ensuring all his Fans were inside and ready to party. It was a packed crowd and he put on a great show. Shook hands with fans, signed autographs, all while singing his amazing songs. I love that personal side of him. Will continue to go to his shows as long as he keeps coming to Calgary!

  • Good atmosphere, sub-par accoustics and enviro

    by T. C. on 2021-10-25Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 3 out of 5

Enjoyed the concert, was great atmosphere. The best part was the unplugged version at the top. After that, Eric's voice was drowned out by the music; it was hard to determine what song he was singing til the chorus. Don't know if it was the multiple mics, or the settings were off, but we needed to listen to a playlist the next day to "get our fix" of Eric's lyrics and voice! Also - Saddledome - your air flow is awful, It was so hot in there, during this pandemic time notwithstanding everyone vaccinated and checked (which was pretty smooth process by the way); I did leave feeling concerned about how little air circulation we had been in for hours!!
