Fan & Venue Safety

Let's help keep each other safe.

We’re encouraging venues everywhere to adopt social distancing and sanitization measures to help keep fans and staff as safe as possible. As venues start opening up again, an event's status may change due to developing safety policies, but we'll keep you posted if that's the case.

Please Note: Each venue determines their own guidelines according to local safety regulations, so be sure to check the venue site for more detailed info before going to an event.

  • Contactless Entry

Your phone is your ticket, so it never has to change hands when you enter a venue or transfer tickets, helping maintain social distancing from the start.

  • Socially Distanced Seating

We've rolled out a variety of features to help venues moderate capacity, including socially distanced seating maps and grouped ticketing packages.

Potential Safety Measures

Here are some of the safety precautions venues are taking, which you may encounter when attending an event.

  • Mask Required

The venue is requiring fans to wear a mask during the event in public areas (specifics will vary).

  • Clean Venue

Indicates a comprehensive venue safety plan, where steps to sanitize surfaces throughout have been taken before, during and after the event.

  • Social Distancing

From grouped seating to in-venue boundaries, the recommended six feet of distance will be reinforced throughout the experience for a safe distanced event.

  • Temperature Checks

Fans will be asked to submit to contactless temperature checks before entering the venue.

  • Timed Entry

In order to promote social distancing and reduce exposure, fans will enter the venue at designated entry times.

  • Drive-In Only

The event will take place as a drive-in experience and fans will be asked to stay inside or close to their vehicle throughout the event.

  • Hand Sanitizer Stations

Fans can access various hand sanitizing stations that will be located throughout the venue.

FAQs

Answers to the most pressing fan questions.

  • What does it mean if an event is canceled?

If an event is canceled, it means that there is no rescheduled date for your event. We will automatically refund your ticket order amount (except UPS fees) to the method of payment used for purchase in as soon as 30 days. In some cases, event organizers may also give you the option to choose a credit.

  • What does it mean if an event is postponed or rescheduled?

If an event is rescheduled, your tickets are still valid for the new date and no further action is required. If you can’t make the new date, in many cases event organizers will provide you the option to request a refund, or they may be offering you the option to choose a refund or a credit. We will send you a notification email as soon as the event organizer updates the status of the event. The email will also specify the timeframe the event organizer is making refund and/or credit options available; either 30 days from when you received your notification email or up until two weeks prior to the rescheduled date.

  • Where can I find the status of my event and tickets?

As soon as event organizers change the status of an event, we will send you an email notification. For the most up-to-date information regarding schedule changes and relevant credit and refund options, please sign into your account, then select your event. You can also find a comprehensive list of events with status and scheduling changes on our Event Status Update page. If you still have questions, please contact Fan Support for more information.

  • How long does it take to receive a refund?

When your event is eligible for a refund, you’ll receive a notification email which will include a link to your Ticketmaster account where you can complete your refund request. For canceled events, your refund will be processed automatically in as soon as 30 days. For rescheduled and postponed events, check your account to initiate a request. Please Note: All requests are final and cannot be changed once initiated.

  • Where can I find the list of safety measures being implemented at the event?
